Hey girls,

I created this account just now to warn all of you out there about a guy who scammed me out of ?1,200 for an overnight. He got in touch with me yesterday and asked if I would be interested in an outcall to a hotel at Heathrow, I asked his nationality and he told me that he was from Dubai. 'Sorry,' I don't see men from Dubai as I was scammed out of money through an apparent bank transfer from a guy originating from 'Dubai.' So the same man (unbeknown to me) creates a new account on AW pretending that he is from Turkey and says that he wants to see me for an overnight. (I only found this out when he told me during the booking.)

I don't have any problem with Turkish men so I agreed to see him and for an outcall at a hotel in Barking, it really was a very complicated and tiring journey to make as the District line did not operate due to engineering works. So I get there, he meets me, we go to the hotel room, he counts ?2,000 in from of me but says that he does not want to give it to me now and says he will only give it to me later on during the night as the girl he met on AW ran away with the money and scammed him out of ?700. I believed him, and I ended up spending 5 hours with him 3:00pm till 8:00pm. At 8:00pm, he suggests for us to go to dinner, he puts the envelope with the money under the bed, tells me to take the lift while he takes the stairs, because 'I have a family business here, and I don't want the receptionist to tell my family about my what I get up to.'

So I believed him, take the lift and wait for him outside. I then realised that is is not coming out and is probably hiding in the hotel room somewhere so I text him several times on his phone but he has switched it off. So then I send him a message via AW such as 'Where are you? What's going on?' I receive a reply a seconds later, 'I am in bed. You can go home as well.'

I start to panic, as I have my suitcase left upstairs, with all my clothes (it was supposed to be an overnight!) by then I have forgotten the room number and the floor of the room, so I ask the receptionist for help. It was actually very embarrassing as I did not know his name so I did not know the name the booking was made under, probably using a fake name though! The receptionist finally agreed to lead me to the room even though it was a security breach for her to left me in as I did not know his name. Anyway we go upstairs with the lady and my suitcase is in the room, I check the money under the bed, open the envelope and inside are newspaper cuttings! 

This guy is very intelligent, very manipulative and a very big time-waster! He is around 5"8, skinny frame, of Middle Eastern origin and probably operates within the same gang of Asian men who prey on inexperienced and polite girls!  If anyone promises you an overnight for a ridiculous amount of money, and it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is!

Has anything like that ever happened to you? 

Can we stick to useful information here as per the board rules folks, please? None of this will help others avoid this man, although as the above says, doing proper outcall checks and insisting on payment upfront will stop him and others like him getting away with it.

Discriminating against groups of unrelated punters because of the behaviour of a few only means you earn less money, and won't stop the above happening again (and when it does, you're unlikely to care whether the bloke was born in Turkey or Tottenham).

If somebody does have the AW nick and user ID, that would be great .
