I find it really difficult. I try not to take more than 3 days off in a row. But if I have to take longer I ease myself back in by taking short appointments the first day and being very choosy about who I see.
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes

I find it really tough even if it's only been a cple of weeks.
You wouldn't think you'd lose your confidence in that time but I always feel a bit nervous.
Having said that, once I've got the first booking out of the way I'm fine  :)

This week was my first week back after taking 5 weeks off.  Had a few regulars book in which has eased me back in gently.  I'm more fed up with coming back to the cold  >:(

While it no longer applies to me I remember all too well being a little nervous after taking a holiday. I made sure the first couple of clients were not aware that I was feeling that way and it quickly disappeared.

I have had similar experiences too, but my breaks now tend to be perhaps 4 or 5 days maximum. It is good for me to get out of the routine. I found in the past when taking a week or more I would start thinking about the strangers I was having such close contact with, people who I knew nothing about. BUT I know I will be fine once I get into it, so I enjoy the break in the moment then look forward to first client/or online/phone chat session.

Also since I started remote online, cam, phone chat, video making I sometimes simply have just an in-person break - work online only so I am still engaging in one (or two) senses.

I'm working only two weeks monthly,  so for me starting after days off is a bit nervous till the first appointment.  After, for 2 weeks I just wait to finish and to do my daily target. I'm very happy when I can do my 2-week target in or week to be more relaxed after.

I have been really struggling this year. It’s now the 8th of Jan and I have had 4 bookings since the beginning of the year which is very low for me. I can’t get motivated to be available in the morning or evening, at the moment all I can make myself do are afternoon bookings. I also had a bad cold for 2 weeks in December which didn’t help with my current energy levels…

All good really. I only tend to see a few clients a week and most tend to be regulars.
The threatened tube strike was more of a worry.
