A man who gave the name James first called me in December with the question would I be interested to come to Manchester on tour. Since I am based in the midlands and I wasn't advertising any tour at the time, his question sounded out of place. I said: "why are you asking?". He then told me he drives escorts to their outcall apointments in Manchester.

Being the weakling I am I didn't say straight away that I didn't need a driver and hung up, but instead politely listened to his whole speech and even asked questions. He said that escorts hire him by the day paying him ?100 for the day. He also said that he could find me clients and help me find accomodation. I asked what his link with the punters and the accomodation owners was. His answer was "I know the punters" and reganrding the accomodatino he would go with me to lettings agencies and help me find a house for a month (!).

I then enquiried whether he had a per appointment or per hour or per distance travelled rate, as just paying him a flat ?100 per day wasn't suitable for me - what if I had no appointments or just one? He said definitely no, so I told him clearly that wasn't suitable for me then. [I didn't need a driver anyway, as I can drive.]

He kept asking if I would come to Manchester "even for a weekend to see how it goes". Again, the silly weakling I am told him that I would think about it but couldn't promise him anything and if I didn't call back it meant I wasn't interested. I was beying polite (in a stupid way) in my attempt to end the onversation since the man's voice sounded poised and quite well spoken.

This man called again in a couple of days asking if I had thought about it and would I come to Manchester for the weekend to see how it goes. This time the tone of his voice was changed, I perceived a sneer. I answered firmly that I wasn't interested and please do not call again.

He called constantly over the ensuig months, but I would rejet his calls or wouldn't pick up. Recently I answered his call saying in a firm voice that if he called again I would report him to the police and hung up. A few days later, guess what? - he called again! I answered this time too and let him speak hist first line about would I be interested to coming to Manhester then interrupting him with the same message as before, that if he ever called me again, I would report him to the police. It's been a couple of weeks now since this James has spared me his calling, phew! hope he's got the message!
