I remember someone posting on here about Escort Locator putting up this persons details on their directory and emailing her to inform her of this and I am sure someone from EL posted an apology and said they would refrain from doing this in future. Unfortunately I can't find that post, but anyway I have today received such an email and though my site is not live to the punters I am not happy about it, as 70% of the details on the site are wrong and more over my permission was not asked. I have been bombarede with emails and texts from them to join, so if I was interested I would have.

I didn't know there'd been issues with them before. The first I remember hearing from them was when they kept sending emails and then sending a text to tell you they'd sent an email. They created an account for me too, but I decided that they did have something to offer (nice search software, not the 070 numbers) so I told them nicely why I wasn't interested. On the plus side, they deleted my profile and unassigned the phone number as soon as I edited my description text to say I wasn't using the profile.

This sort of thing's annoying, but at least when the ones that notify you usually remove stuff without fuss.

They called me before they put me on there. I said it was ok. I know they will take revenue from that 070 number but there are some bonuses from that - i.e. you can't send text to it and those that call and keep you on the phone get a nice phone bill.

That probably sounds callous, but a genuine booking only takes about 2 minutes chat to set up. It's billed to mobiles at around 30-50p per min so it's what??1 to arrange an escort for a ?100+ booking. I used an 070 number when I first started out, it can be pointed at whichever phone you have - so useful if you're out and about, or lose your phone. Oh, and I never took revenue from the number, it's the service or reseller provider who does that.

Anyway, they did a lot of my details wrong - think they have out of date info. I did tell them when they called that they were getting a bad reputation. The salesperson sounded a little embarassed. I told them to sort their act out.

Sounds like they didn't take me seriously!

They removed me when I complained but another lady has pointed out I'm back on there again!

I hate it, I think it looks awful having a premium rate number listed and I wish I could get off of there.

I just wanted to say that I feel that even if they are ok as a direcory, we should not sign up with them out of principle, underhand tactics should not be supported by our business. Obviously the decision is up to each individual.
