Ladies here is a text I received earlier today...some of you have no doubt already had the same one...but I don't want anyone to fall for this amateur scam.

"Hi, I got your number off an escort site. I hope you can help. This is a strange request but I'll start with my story. My ex-girlfriend who I love very much has moved to Manchester and is seeing a guy that used to be my friend. She has moved in with him after only knowing him for a few months or so. What she doesn't know is that he is a woman beater who treats women like shit which myself and her sisters don't want for her so we have come up with a plan to try to end this relationship by getting someone like yourself who has a Manchester accent to pretend to be someone has has been seeing behind her back. The plan is for me to come to Manchester and pay for your services to do this. I have a mobile phone that I'll give to you with her number on and you'll call while I'm in the hotel room listening to what happens.

Please could you let me know if this is something you would do and how much would you charge. The call shouldn't be any more than 30 minutes or less and we have ?200 to spend after hotel and travelling costs. She currently doesn't have a job so the call will be around 2pm or 3pm. Knew straight away this was some elaborate ruse to get either free sex or something even more sinister. I had no intention of going along with it but i suggested conducting the call in a public place whilst accompanied by two male friends, rather than in some hotel room. Well..surprise, surprise...'Dave' replied saying he no thanks, he didn't fancy getting mugged!! Well...neither did... I so I told him not to contact me again that I would be publishing his scam on to public forums so that other ladies were aware of it.

I really hope nobody would be stupid enough to fall for this but he obviously thinks us working ladies are thick and greedy for whatever money we can get our grubby hands on!
