Alterego Escort Agency
« on: 14 May 2009, 05:02:30 pm »
I paid ?199.00 because they told me I had a booking. I had my suspicion but I still went ahead assuming that at least one day they will offer me work.

I was upset that I went to a fake booking but the worst thing is that I can not get in contact with these people to at least talk about it.

They will not answer my emails and I cannot get through on their phone lines. If I do after about 20 attempts they say they are too busy to talk to me.

My advice to anyone thinking of joining them is not to pay them a penny until you have the clients cash right in your hand. If they refuse this plan then that proves who they are. Please don't be taken in by these people, they are nasty crooks!

The whole exchange of money could be done while everyone is together on that night, makes sense??

Sorry to hear you got scammed. I'm afraid you won't see that money again.
If there is a next time, please don't give any "agency" any money. Anybody that asks for money upfront is a scam. You're only supposed to pay a percentage from your bookings. Nothing like ?199. There are plenty of reputable agencies out there.

Re: Alterego Escort Agency - FAKE BOOKING!!

Thank you for that message.

I worked out it was a scam because the lady I was supposed to meet had not even booked in at the hotel by that day.

After I had learned this that morning by phoning the hotel, I told the advisor who was very rude and and shouted at me, claiming that was not her real name. He went on to say that if I wanted to cancel because it was within the 24 hours (under their Agency terms) I was bound to pay the cancellation fee of ?99, so I had a choice of that or going on the booking and paying the ?199 as originally agreed; despite that fact that the client was not available until that evening he said.

Do they have any right in law to claim the ?99 cancel fee had I of chosen this option?
I know its late now but just out of interest.

There is no law protecting them because they're not a legitimate outfit. So who knows whether or not they would've given you back your money.

Thank you for posting this.  I spoke to some guy last night for an hour and a half and it all sounded good, until he asked me for ?200 to cover the insurance.  I told him to email me more information, but my gut instinct told me it was wrong.

I'm so glad I looked on here and have been researching Alterego Escorts before paying anything.  I'm sorry that it happened to you, but you sharing this has meant that it hasn't happened to another person.

Hope you find better luck with another agency :-)

I have just got off the phone to a very rude and rather flustered "Nick" who was pushing me for insurance payment, he said I have a profile on the site which is generating interest, but they need the money first before sending me out on a booking.

When I quizzed him about who the insurance was through, what type of policy was it, and could I have some information from the insurance company, he wouldn't give it.  He is bascially describing personal liability insurance, which I have, but apparently it doesn't cover "them".  "So I'm getting insurance to cover you?" I asked.  "No, it's to cover you if anything should happen" he replied.  When I said that I already have such insurance he told me it was no good and that I have to buy theirs.

I also challenged him about the fact that the website is full of spelling errors, he's calling me from a mobile phone, and all the "facts" he's referring me to is just simply text in an email and on a website, any monkey could have written that and just because you're referring to it and it exists, doesn't make it gospel.  I told him in no uncertain terms that I AM NOT paying him any money up front, they get 10% of the booking fee and that is all they will get.  IF I need insurance I will arrange it myself.  Of course he refused this.

I asked for their company registration number, he wouldn't give it.  He then got very rude and started shouting at me that they had a VAT number not a ltd company number and if I was smart and knew the difference then I'd have asked for that.  (I do know the difference, but he didn't have a clue about anything he was talking about and was quite clearly becoming unstuck on the phone).

The delightful Nick then hung up on me. BE WARNED!

p.s. I checked their site and surprise surprise there is NO profile of me on there.      ::)

Never ever give any money to an Escort Agency.  All us genuine guys make money from comission when we get you work.  Also beware of Agencies promising you the earth with regards to bookings too unless they have been established for many years and can proove this that is highly unlikely

Sorry to hear of your experience:(
