The Adult Guide to Birmingham - Advertising Opportunities
« on: 08 November 2012, 10:50:30 am »
Good Morning,

The special Christmas issue of the exclusive "The Adult Guide to Birmingham" is about to be launched. This A6 publication features the best tourist attractions, entertainment venues, restaurants, clubs, pubs, attractions, taxi companies, parlours, saunas, theatres, cinemas and promotions in Birmingham.

This guide highlights the best in adult entertainment in the second city, with advertisements from casinos to bars, massage parlours to tattoo parlours. What makes it unique compared to any other publication is that your customers can call the number on the back of the brochure, and the courtesy bus will pick them up free of charge and drop them off to any other featured venue.

What could be better than your customers being brought to your door?

The Guide will be distributed throughout the city centre, in major hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants. The courtesy bus will also be driving around the city centre on Friday and Saturday evening handing out free copies of the guide.

An extensive advertising programme has been launched in local press and radio, including The Birmingham Mail, and on billboards throughout the city.

All advertising space is offered on a first come first serve basis. With prices starting from ?125, can you really afford to miss out on this great opportunity to promote your business?

if you are interested in being featured in the special Christmas edition of The Adult Guide, feel free to email us at sales@midlandindependent.org.uk, or call us on 0121 622 5858 and one of our friendly representatives will come to you and show you a copy of the guide.

Visit www.tagtb.co.uk for more information.

The Adult Guide to Birmingham - making the second city's entertainment first class!

There are also classified pages in our sister newspaper publication. I don't think I can post the link(?) but feel free to PM me if you are interested, prices very reasonable (about ?25 a week for a credit card sized advert, but negotiable)

This is a joke, surely? Either that of you've confused this forum with a casino/cinema/brothel/shopping centre one?

Have got visions of guys sat on bus desperate for their hole and getting pissed off as the coach makes umpteen stops, reminds me of the transfer bus taking you to hotel from airport and stopping at numerous stops.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Hahahaha. They could put a big graphic that said Prossie Express on the side like the airport ones :D.

Of course it would be cheaper, quicker and kinder to the environment to just flypost the street and letterbox our neighbours. Quieter for those of us who live in residential areas, too.

Im sorry, it's no joke? We have pages in the back for independents, there are also a number of parlours who advertise with us.

Check out the website for some examples of our advertisers, the link is in my first post. And there's also a picture of the courtesy transport on the page.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, I just thought it was an advertising opportunity that some of the ladies in Birmingham may be interested in.

:)

It's a six-seater taxi "bus" :)

Leaving aside the issue of you apparently expecting independent ladies to just dish out the full address of our incall location to random strangers (and how would you check that whoever was asking for transport to us actually had a booking; we get plenty of oddballs who would love to find out exactly where we are yet have no intention of booking and paying us?) do you really think punters are going to want to get in this transport knowing that the driver knows exactly where they're going and why? What if they're recognised?

Nobody said you had to use the taxi service! It would be a bit weird wouldn't it, I totally agree! It is at the advertisers discretion completely, and only covers the very centre of Birmingham anyway, and whatever you do for your advert is completely up to you, it doesn't have to include your address or anything, that would be really stupid.

Honestly, I'm not trying to cause an argument or anything, I'm just sharing an advertising opportunity. If you have a question about the guide feel free to ask, but please don't make ridiculous assumptions about something when you haven't bothered to ask?  :-\

Regardless of the transport "issue" (which I hope I have now cleared up) this publication is available in sex shops, hotels and saunas, and I just thought it might be of interest to anybody in Birmingham who is looking for something "new" to advertise in.

Indeed immensely stupid

Well perhaps we were foolish enough to believe what you highlighted as your USP in your original post, in which case its hardly a 'ridiculous assumption' as you so rudely put it.

As this is a site primarily for Independent Escorts and Agency escorts I would be extremely surprised if you had any takers.

How do you know people won't use your transport as a free lift to  Tescos and back?????
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Out of respect, the more this thread is read just shows that this new proposition of the advertiser is getting even more ridiculous . It sounds more like a fantasy than any thing practical. To be honest those you might get if any thing will be naive ones, who do things before thinking about the consequences. Some times it's hard enough with men being discreet other than adding to this merry go round.

I would post on a punters forum about your business idea, therefore you can weigh up all the options get feedback. As to whether this flaw will work coming back to reality.

Fantasy?
There are copies of the last edition out and about in Birmingham. The bus is also out and about in Birmingham. Check the website for some of our advertisers. So it's very much a reality, nothing fantastic at all.

Well perhaps we were foolish enough to believe what you highlighted as your USP in your original post, in which case its hardly a 'ridiculous assumption' as you so rudely put it.

I'm sorry if it came off rude. To be honest, I thought Amy's post was quite rude. So I bit. It doesn't hurt to ask if you don't understand something about the transport, does it.

I won't post again because I'm obviously getting on some peoples' nerves, though tbh I don't really understand why.

If you are interested in advertising in TAGTB, or our sister newspaper, please check out the info in my first post and feel free to get in touch.

The word 'fantasy' was not used in the post you have quoted. If you're going to respond to member's comments, please be clear.

My post was not in any way rude, and it's purpose was to highlight the ridiculousness of trying to sell us an idea which would be not only unusable and possibly dangerous but actually detrimental to the business of the members here. Looking at it now I admit I needn't have bothered, since you do a far better job of that when left to your own devices.

You're quite correct that you won't post again - this has gone far enough and it's getting deeply tedious now. If people want to use your site, they will.

Locked.
