Title: Re: New Female-Run London Agency Recruiting Classy Ladies NOW!
Post by: RR on 24 March 2014, 07:19:14 pm

We will need to see recent photographs of you that have been taken in the last 3 months which clearly show your figure and face,

No matter how 'reputable' an agency claims to be, please will any new/inexperienced escorts reading this give a long hard think about the reprecussions that can arise from sending a face photograph of themselves to anyone, especially in this business?

The photos are just for us to assess the lady before arranging an interview to assess initial suitability regarding physicality, they are not for use on our site. The ladies can reassure themselves of this by watermarking them in any way they wish, to prevent them from being used as such There is a free watermarking software called UMark available for download. If the ladies wish to have their faces blurred on the website, they can opt for this.

This aside - again, for new/inexperienced girls to the industry, bear in mind that you are potentially sending facial photographs to anyone on the Internet, therefore identifying yourself as a potential sex worker. Think very long and very hard before making that decision.

We are outcall only, our reason for this is to focus on safety for the ladies who will be working with us. It is far easier to screen gentlemen with an outcall to a residence or a hotel than it is for incalls.

How? What specifically does knowing somebody's location have to do with whether or not they are going to be a good, respectful punter, as opposed to an unpleasant one? Why do you think it's 'safer' to send women out to locations which they are unfamiliar with and have no control over than it is for punters to visit them on their own turf where they can control the environment and apply their own security measures?

I'm not saying that either one is better than the other, just pointing out that your premise is a crock.

We are aiming our services at the more affluent clientele, and you will be able to command a higher rate than an independent escort. The agency works on set house rates, which although are higher than an independent escort average rate, they are still very reasonable and will not price us out of the market.

Independent 'escorts' can command whatever rates they choose to, because they not only set them themselves but actually get to keep it after the usual outgoings. Why are you trying to claim that the prossies employing you can automatically earn more than independents; I know independent ladies who charge everything from ?70 to ?400 per hour, and whether or not somebody does their own marketing or employs an agency is nothing to do with it?

You can charge whatever you want, but that doesn't mean anybody will pay it (and for success, you need them to be coming back and paying it more than once).

We will ask to see proof of entitlement to live and work in the UK, and photographic ID if you are invited for interview.

Not a chance. If you need to see proof of somebody's age, fine, but there is no reason whatsoever for them to furnish you with any personal details whatsoever - this includes legal name, address and so on. You have no reason to know it.

We will need to see recent photographs of you that have been taken in the last 3 months which clearly show your figure and face and have not been digitally retouched.

Once again, we don't recommend that anybody send pictures which could identify them to random strangers from the internet. Few newbies will be equipped to make an informed choice as to whether they want to identify themselves as a prostitute, and it can wait - considering the large slice of their hard-earned you'll be pocketing whilst they do the work, you can pull your finger out and meet people in person if you want to see what they look like.

Looking at that, you might want to search for some professional photographers on the forum - there's some very well thought of folks with threads here. No punter on earth is going to pay the sorts of rates you're talking about on the basis of that, and trust me when I say I'm being extremely tactful.

Yep I completely agree. Whilst a face photo alone doesn't out you as a sex worker the face photo coupled with photos used on the agency website would, potentially. Whilst I'm in no way insinuating that the agency on this thread would misuse photos sent to them it is important for newbies to be aware that it is not unheard of for agencies to get nasty and threaten and blackmail their escorts. Unfortunate, but sadly true.

I've been with a few reputable agencies, none of which asked me for face photos.

Indeed. There's a thread here (http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=20405.0) about the antics of a 'reputable' agency, and as pointed out above nobody has any way whatsoever of knowing what's going to happen with anything once somebody else has got their hands on it, so the best course of action is to make sure that they don't.

A few bits of advice.

Thank you again for your comments, some of which were less polite than was necessary

Don't, just don't.

This is not as easy to do with incalls, as well as the danger of bringing a stranger to your home in the first place.

Also don't try telling very experienced escorts how to suck things.

Not everyone's incall place is their home and many agencies provide incall venues. As Amy says, there are swings and roundabouts to consider, rather than just asserting that one is better than the other... for the escort.

Obviously you not providing incall venues means you escape the brothel laws, and it doesn't matter as much to you that it has implications for the bookings that you are going to get.

As for proof of eligibilty of living and working in the UK, that is to cover our own back

As has been said, there are ways of satisfying you which don't involve people giving you info that they need to think carefully about. Are you going to record the info, for example? If you were raided, how would you prove that the people you're controlling for gain are eligible to work here?

.. and you are still going to be looking over your shoulder wondering if you are going to be done for 'Controlling prostitution for gain' and/or 'Causing or inciting prostitution for gain', if nothing else.

Many of us screen our outcall clients using the same method as you have described. I used to believe having an agency who knew where I was meant that I was safe. Wrong. Really what would an agency do if one of their escorts failed to sign off after a booking? Call the police? I think not, seeing as they're not a legit business so therefore wouldn't want to bring attention to theirselves.

This is why I love SAAFE!

Not to be condescending but do  keep up the good work, take responsibility by continuing to be vigilant and most importantly stay safe everyone.

Am I going to be looking over my should regarding 'Controlling prostitution for gain' and/or 'Causing or inciting prostitution for gain'? No, because that is not what we are doing. Escort agencies are not illegal in the UK, providing they are acting as just that, an agent. I have researched and taken advice on the legalities of what we are doing.

Do feel free to share this advice, because it's wrong and if you paid for it, you might want to be asking for a refund.

You clearly know what's going on is prostitution and the commission means you're gaining from it, so do you know what 'control' in this context means?

The clue is that if you were not 'controlling prostitution', no-one would call you.

Many agencies would think twice about calling the police after the poor lady of [removed] did precisely that when her girls were attacked, and her life and her families lives were subsequently ruined. This was after many, many years of local police turning a blind eye to activities and assuring her that the girls safety was their first concern, as long as she kept her operations low key. Don't be so naive.

Are you honestly saying you would cheerfully go through the same ordeal, publicly outing how you make your money to your entire family and community, risk criminal charges, press harrassement and face financial ruin for many years? (and this lady was actually significant amounts of tax!). If you weren't already aware of these sort of consequences I suggest you get yourself a bit more clued up and search for [removed again - please don't post about people who are not here] and read her posts. Oh, and she was an agency. The reality is that an agency is lower down the priorities than more visible brothels. So you can operate without problems  for years, or maybe forever if you dont have any need to involve the police. But if the time comes when you have to make the call, the law makes no such semantic distinction between agency or anything else. No matter how clever you think you are, running an agency and getting away with it is a game of luck. There is no debate.

I've worked in all kinds of different ways (including independent, high priced agencies, private flats) and have no moral objection to any, by the way. They all have their place and suit different girls needs.

This isn't an agency/independent thing. It's that your legal advice is way off... and that ignorance, naivity and arrogance are a dangerous and alarmingly common combination in this business.

"Agencies" would do well to remember that this site is primarily geared to support the individual sex worker - whether she works as an indie, agency worker, in a sauna, whatever. It is of no concern to me whether or not you want a face photo or not, as I'm not inclined to pay pimps so shan't be availing myself of your recruitment drive.

The fact of the matter is that no one here will encourage anyone to send a face photo to anyone in this industry. For all anyone on here knows, I could be a 6'8 Louisiana basketball player pretending to be a female hooker. Ergo, you (and countless other agencies that spam this section of SAAFE could be anyone. Do I want you, or any other pimp, having face photos of me? Nope.

And documents confirming a real name and eligibility to work in the UK? Your premise is, regardless of how articulate your spiel is in its wording, breaking UK law. It makes me laugh when illegal operations fancy themselves as 'high class' and above board. A pimp is a pimp; regardless of how 'female ran' it is, how articulate its recruitment drive is, how fluffy and upmarket it portrays itself as.

Plenty of escorts utilise agencies, of course, and they are within their rights to make that choice. This site exists to allow escorts to make an educated, informed choice about steps they take within the industry. It isn't here to promote the best interests of an agency.
