And if it's an 'escort' directory, why include non-paid ads? The people looking for freebies aren't going to be interested in paying people charging standard rates (but that won't stop them ringing to haggle and whinge about the prices), and equally, why would anybody bother looking at paid ads when they can find a freebie on the same site?

If I ever do need a lesson in anything I believe I'll take it from somebody with a better grasp of written English, but my question was specifically looking to address why you would claim to have a directory for trans escorts (which would suggest that all were welcome) and then call it 'London Tgirls' (which suggests that they are not).

Of course it's your 'perogative' how you construct your site, but most people with half a brain would at least give a passing thought to how their potential advertisers might like it to be too, assuming that you actually want to attract any. Having paid prossie ads alongside free sex ads may work for you but it doesn't work for the prossies, and there are people here with many years of experience using online ad sites that will reiterate that.

Er Candy, did you miss the part of my post where I said that what they do with their site is their prerogative? And the rest of it too, by the look of things.

As for their feeble attempt at wit, that's about the crappest attempt at a comeback I've seen since the bloke with the weird directory signed up as a woman to whine about how mean we all were and how great he was. The 'carpenter' comment in particular looked like it was wholesale copied and pasted from one of those 'helpful' sites that gives people ideas for making speeches, and I would suspect that the OP probably has a list headed 'Great Comebacks!!!' taped up next to the computer in their bedsit .

Well I agree with that completely - I've got past the point where I even read emails from these places before I delete them, and I keep my ads now to the places which work for me so it's easier to keep track. For trans escorts it's different though, because many of the main directories won't take their ads.

Adultwork works wells for some and not others, although I think location is a massive factor here and to give it it's due it's pretty inclusive (because it wants everybody's money, not just people of a particular type/age/gender ). Sites where our ads are mishmashed in together with dating ads just confuse - we've had people here trying to push these sort of sites before and they've never lasted long. The shitty attitude is neither here nor there, but the complete refusal to address fair questions about the site they're trying to plug is, and if they won't do that then there's no point in them being here.

If you are a directory for trans women, say you are a directory for trans women, not a "trans" or a "TS" directory.

Also, there is a massive glut of sites promoting trans women.  Even leaving aside your attitude, if you want to be successful and stand out, you should probably consider including other trans sex workers.  There is a considerable market for other trans sex workers and by limiting yourself and being hostile about it you're likely to simply come across as a chaser yourself.  A directory that actually promoted trans sex workers of *all* genders would probably attract some positive attention; what you're talking about is just going to get lost in all the other sites for people looking for ~~sexy s**males~~.
