I did not actually get that far, but have seen it now. Not impressed with the aesthetics. Additionally, surely it would make more sense to advertise a completed project.

I think the guy has probably worked out he will not be making no money here unless his prices are dirt cheap as a lot don't want bespoke websites here or built for SEO as like someone else said they want a basic site to mostly add to directories.

I can't figure out why a web development professional with years of experience would need to knock something up overnight, especially considering how vital a web presence and website is for people in this field.

Not having a decent and consistent web presence is a red flag, and when it's added to his advertising (which is focused entirely on irrelevant details ) and passive aggressive digs at those who have critiqued him, it just doesn't look like a professional business that has been thriving for years.

I wouldn't even let this guy work for me for free.

£600 is extortionate if you want a bog standard website for dictionaries and general listing. I assume people like this think as escorts we are sitting on bags of money and just east targets.
I recently used Select Web Design( The person who makes them is a member here too). Very quick and I’m thrilled with the results. Cost me £100.

If you were expecting criticism you must have known that your post and site were a waste of space, so why didn't you make them better? The comments have been exceptionally restrained and fair given the patronising drivel you've posted and you ought to be grateful that the people here pointed all this out to you for free when our rates are generally north of £100ph - we didn't even flag the huge and prominent spelling error three words in on the very first line of your site.
