My name's Ricky and I helped my best friend promote and manage herself as an independent escort quite successfully after I suggested she didn't have to work for an agency, so I have a reasonable amount of knowledge which I am happy to share for just the rewards of the feel good factor (for the short while I am able).

Note, this post is not meant to serve to suggest becoming independent if you are happy or feel that you benefit from working for an agency. But if you are not, or you are considering working for an agency only because you don't think you can get clients yourself, I may be able to help.

I should point out that in the first instance, this forum is always the best place to ask questions or find answers! In fact, it's the first place I looked when my friend asked for help.

I am not seeking any payment in money or kind and moreover, I am presently limited by time and location as to the number of people I can help. I live in London and have an unrelated job.

So how can I be of help? Well, in the space of an evening or possibly a half day on a weekend...

  • I can sit through creating a website with you so you learn how to update it quickly and easily for yourself. There are a wealth of free and p*ss easy online websites I am familiar with, including moonfruit and wix that look and feel very professional.
  • I'll walk you through cheaply registering a personalised domain name if you want one but note... it's not necessary.
  • I can put listings up for you on several sites including Punterlink and AdultWork and show you how to use bb code to make it look well presented. There are many sites that offer free listings in return for a banner link on your personal website... I'll show you how to do this.
  • I will submit your website URL to google for you and also set up google analytics. I will show you how to track where most of your website referrals are coming from so you can target your advertising budget effectively.
  • I'll help you write a non generic profile that shows you have wit and intelligence as well as looks and charm, and can talk proper innit.
  • Take some half decent photos using a digital SLR if required (but note I am no David Bailey!)

You can email me at RICKYMAIL19@GMAIL.COM if you would like help. You would need to located or be willing to travel to London. I can't promise that I will be doing this for long.

Ricky :)

And how long have you been a sex worker, Ricky?

Amy, I have never been a sex worker... I just have very good friends who are. I do not wish to gain financially... am just offering help if required with honorable motives. I should admit the disdain I have for the way my best friend was treated by her agency. I do not claim to be an expert either so if you feel that it would be more in the interest of forum users to only help them via this thread, am more than willing to do so. Please let me know and I'll modify my original post appropriately, deleting the processes I am unable to help with online.

What you need to do is direct anybody who needs help working independently to the main SAAFE site so that they can learn how to run their businesses from people who have been, will be and are actually doing the job, not assuming that because you've met a few prossies (presumably as a punter) that you know better than them. I know two electricians, but that doesn't mean I'd offer to rewire somebody's house.

Please do encourage any ladies unhappy with agency work to read the articles and join the forum if they want to - here they can ask sex workers of every imaginable age, size, shape, ethnicity and level of experience about anything they might need to know whether it be regarding advertising, personal safety, tax, health, ways of working or anything else that may be concerning them. There is no reason whatsoever for them to ask you when there is proper support from experienced people available, and I can't honestly imagine why you think there would be?

EDIT: Having actually reread through the thread starter properly, yes Ricky, I suggest you edit it by way of removing the entire second section from 'There are...' to 'incessantly'. But that's entirely dependent on how many of the members here you want to offend once it busies up a bit later on.

Hi Amy,

Have edited original post as suggested. It was not my intention to cause offense by suggesting I know more about escorting than anyone on this forum... it was a sincere offer of help.

Being gay and in a very happy relationship, I have never sought the services of an escort.

I respect your view that sex workers are best placed to give advice (in fact I have directed several escorts I know to this forum) and request you delete this thread if possible.

Ricky

Re taking photos.
I was wondering if would you have a form or written agreement on behalf of the poor unfortunate sex worker who would are offering to take sexually suggestive pictures of stating that you will not use any of the images you have taken on your camera for your personal use or any other form of use by you?

Its very nice of you to want to help strangers but what are you getting out of it?
So, what she done said was that happy hoes ain’t hating and hating hoes ain’t happy.
