I came back to this thread to make a suggestion to VS but then re-read my own posts and realised they don't deserve the benefit of my wisdom 😂

They could certainly use some, but when we've been getting the ostrich response now for almost four years as regards illegal operations advertising on their site I probably wouldn't waste my time.

Do we have an update on why independents working entirely within the law are having problems with their ads while agencies (100% illegal) still appear to be heavily represented on the site yet, VS?

I use Vivastreet for ads, I do just a basic ad and get a few bookings from it but god the amount of timewasters you have to get through is unreal.

Personally I find adding my website link, makes the genuine clients click through and book. I've had a few comments from clients along the lines of "there's so many fakes on there" "I know you ad is real as you have a link to your website" etc.

But I blur my face and Vivastreet seems to be going down the verification root and you have to do a selfie. My question to any other sex workers is have you verified with vivastreet? Do you have to show your face on your ads to do this?

Or can Vivastreet answer this question

Thanks

Hi Fannyrose,

In response to your query, we can confirm that you do not have to display your face on your ad to photo verify your account.

To photo verify your account, it is required for advertisers to take a selfie so our system can confirm their identification. However, you do not have to show this photo on your advert.

Advertisers will have the option to keep or hide their verification photo. If they opt to keep it on their profile, clients will be able to see this photo when fully viewing an ad.

Our advertisers who show their verified photo are, on average, getting 20% more contacts than those who haven't verified. Therefore, whilst photo verifying is optional, we'd recommend it to those who are interested.

You can find more information on our photo verification feature here: https://www.vivastreet.co.uk/blog/vivastreet-photo-verification/

Kind regards,

Cordelia @ Vivastreet Team

That statement is wrong as you have not spoken done research to those who are not verified to know if they themselves get twice as many calls and work.
I am not verified and I get just as much work from Vivastreet calls and texts that do materialize into real-life booking meets.

When I read the post about increased contacts I thought "Oh no".
 ::)
One reason I've not renewed for a long time is the sheer amount of rude enquiries, just blocks up my phone and wastes my time.

I tried verifying when I was an advertiser, used the Yoti app on my personal phone which was very intrusive. Verifying using the Yoti did not result in my VS profile changing to verified so I removed the app and didn't follow up.

I do use a credit card for the Ad, same one for 10+ years.

Prior to the Yoti VS told me to submit a photo in same pose, lingerie as the one on my profile. I just didn't get around to it.

every time i post on viva street, the ad won't get approved until i delete words like sex, blowjob and related words. why?? if prostitution in the uk is legal and we are posting in the escort category i seriously don't understand their logic in banning some words??
why have cotton when you can have silk???

Exactly I was editing my advert so I make it clear to the idiots that - CONDOM is used. My advert is rejected.

So then I have to remove the word CONDOM and put protection. How is Condom a bad word baffles me  :FF

Im having issues too - getting a very bland advert approved.
They also deleted my intro video, which basically was me sat at a desk saying 'I look forward to entertaining you'.
They took my £7.99 pretty quickly with no issues I notice!
It costs a lot to look this cheap.

It's not just the restricted words it's that they won't actually tell you what words are restricted in your ad. When I asked customer service what was wrong with my ad they told me I should remove one word at a time and try posting it to see if that worked. I mean seriously viva, if I was selling a garden shed would your customer service be totally useless or is it only with the sex workers?

Yet they have full-on dick and pussy open pictures advert up they don't get taken down and I have seen adverts that have vulgar words in their content.

My advert wouldn’t post because I put safe sex only. It’s annoying because a lot from there ask for without

Viva street is absolutely not  fair! :-X
He blocked my ad because  he thought I had an image above which violates the community principles .  ???
I looked at the Viva street web page and in 10 minutes I found 6 ads showing a female pussy or a male cock.
WTF  viva street! :FF :FF
