Has anybody done the VS verification to prove you are over 18 yet? It flashed up last week when I advertised and I wondered if it's compulsory or not? And if it's all above board, the link it took me to from 'click here' wasn't a secure page.

I'll happily verify if I need to and it's a good thing but I wondered has anyone done it yet?

I have.  So far, there has been no difference to my account, as far as I can see.  I am able to publish my adverts as seamlessly as before and have not detected any problems of any kind.

When I last looked into verification with VS I found it complicated, they wanted me in the same lingerie as my pics. Fair enough but most recent pics are on my linked to website, and lingerie on VS no longer fitted. It was also a bit non-descript. Also given how long I've been around, been advertising with the same card, linked to website etc it must be a bit obvious I am over 18 and not an imposter. Think I resented the hassle. Not advertised with them for a while and seem to be doing OK.

I've done the verification thing. They aren't verifying that you are the person in your photos - only that you are over 18. It's done via a 3rd party app. You scan your ID to the app, then Vivastreet has you scan one of those QR code things to send a request for verification that you are over 18. None of that standing around holding passports and your Vivastreet account number.

I had issues posting an advert from my phone earlier. I should have just been patient and waited until my husband brought me my laptop. Anyway, I paid for the advert and a website link, but there was never an opportunity to put the URL in! I looked and looked - it just wasn't there.

I paid for it, thinking maybe they'd give me the field after I paid (stupid of me, I know.) The advert published without the link! This is useless for me as my advert says things like "please read my website link for full information about my services and rates." I don't like to explain things over and over on the phone!

I tried it again when I got my laptop and it worked fine. I actually paid again. I deactivated the useless advert that doesn't have a URL (that I paid for!). Will there be any way of getting either a refund or credit towards an advert in the future? I don't need a second week - I'm going on holiday and then will be working in a different location.

Just call them and see.  From my own experiences plus from the experiences of others shown in this thread, I think you will get a refund.

I got a very satisfactory response from Sharon at vivastreet regarding a credit towards my next advert. (I emailed them yesterday via the "contact us" link.)

Vivastreet do some annoying things, but compared to adultwork, they're much friendlier.

Hello ladies,

If you experience any issues with the website and you are not able to use the options you purchased we can look into that.

On another note, if you paid a second time for the same advert we can keep that second amount as credit towards your next advert or use it for the same one.

Absolutely. At least they don’t shut your advert down and you can talk to a human. If only they got rid of agency pimps people would have more respect for them.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

I've received an email from VS asking me to age verify as over 18, they say it's currently voluntary but will become compulsory. The verification is via an identity App which is not compatible with my devices.

I've advertised with them for ten yearsish, always using one credit card, in one name, same AW profile/working name, always same phone number and email address.............plus link to my own consistent website, same with AW...........

I suppose I could be under 18 or an imposter.

Has anyone else got an email from Vivastreet asking them to verify their account through an app called Yoti? Or is it a scam?

Sorry for the delayed reply here AsianLuLu, we had moved to 7 days after high demand from our users but we understand that the choice of both would be preferred - we have this noted to discuss with our tech team!

Not very pleased. So I am getting contacts from some upgrade people working with vivastreet offering monthly discounted packages, instead of weekly ones (despite used to offer monthly), but they are only offering them on upgrades! Totally unfair. Prices already gone up weekly and should offer a discount on a monthly normal package.

I've just tried to verify but it isn't compatible with my devices either.

VS is my bread and butter! So worried about this a lot!
