VS did once have a monthly option.

Yes, exactly. Then they removed and only left a weekly option that works out a lot more on monthly basis. Now only option to choose weekly instead of having choice to choose weekly or monthly as would be best.

Viva Shit is a business they are only going to do what makes them more money not less
I actually find the weekly option works better for me rather than the monthly / touring option I found that more expensive

I'd like to know what happened with the VS - NUM - UKNSWP partnership?

Sorry for the delayed reply here AsianLuLu, we had moved to 7 days after high demand from our users but we understand that the choice of both would be preferred - we have this noted to discuss with our tech team!

Surely this doesn't match up with reports that VS did not have any concerns about individuals who were placing large numbers of ads, indicating they were breaking the law re managing prostitution and probably involved in trafficking.  ???

If your relationship with NUM is so strong why were you accepting the ads and/or not passing on this information?

I've found an article and also heard it said in a TV interview last week, that Vivastreet accepted £25000 worth of advertising from one individual advertising multiple women, yet the VS did not contact the police nor refuse the advertising.

How can you be involved with a safety campaign?

It is like any directory or newspaper that advertises prostitutes for money they are not fussy whether someone is an independent or a pimp/agency miney is money to them.

This is clearly visible with most adverts that charge more for escort/ massage ads then that of a plumber or hairdresser so in partnership with NUM makes no proper sense.

A lot used to hide behind not advertising sex but saying it is massage or just escort service that they take the money for there adverts but some have got bold with putting in options for sexual services to be ticked. I think this will blow up in there face 1 day allowing that particular thing that shows they make money off us selling sex and the advantage point will show we get charged more than a hairdresser or plumber for example.

It looks very bad on them and a possible legal situation in the future could well happen.

Sorry for the delay here! What the reports didn’t mention was that the amount stated was an accumulated spend over years, and that we actually supplied the crucial evidence that led to the conviction. We don’t want any exploitative activity on the site, and since this case we have updated and strengthened our checks and verification processes.  We constantly review these; as you know we have our relationship with NUM and now with the Home Office - because we know we need to stay one step ahead of those individuals who seek new ways to abuse the site and put women in danger.

So you have stopped allowing agencies to advertise. Brilliant news Vivastreet. Xx
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Did the police force you/ ask Viva street to hand over his details because he had been arrested and was under investigation for pimping because that is what they usually do to get all info needed for prosecution.

Am i missing something here do Viva have a policy they only take adverts off independent escorts/ sex workers because if they do not of course they will take money off anyone pimp or not if they allowing prostitution on there site. All these type of classified or directory ads do don't they.

Obviously it would be nice for them to only accept indie adverts but they are there for the money only this is why they always putting prices up and most of us have to pay more for an advert if we work in adult industry rather than being a hairdresser for example.

I am actually glad a lot of the local papers have lost business since the internet is more popular. They used to charge 3 times the amount for any adult advert over anyone else but make you sign an agreement no.sex is being offered. Total hypocrites if anything they should be getting done for discrimination or anything else as they used to.completely take advantage of sex workers.

They shouldn't be taking money off pimps full stop. Escort agencies are illegal operations so I hope VS are truly getting their act together in this regard as they claim to be
