Here - please see the rules earlier in this area before you start another thread.

It may get a bit nasty: while you're up front about being a directory charging men seven quid a month to advertise on it and thus pass the basic scam agency test, I'm struggling not to use the l-word when it comes to the replies to questions like 'Is there a demand for straight male escorts?' and 'How much can you realistically earn as a male escort?' Neither would pass the "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth" test, would they?

Anyone finding this post via a search engine should also have a read of http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=506.0 before giving anyone any money in the hope of starting a career as a straight male escort.

I'd like to know who or what you've based your projected earnings and demand answer on, or did you simply multiply the hourly rate by a pie in the sky booking?

After adverts, travel, phone and a few other expenses coupled with incredibly infrequent booking opportunities I very much doubt a male escort makes much profit at all(and that's if he's prepared to sift through the TWs for the extremely few bookings which will be genuine).

As a way to make money for you I think this is a great idea, you will get naiive men believing the hype and paying you ?7 a month but apart from that I don't think it'll be of benefit to anyone.

Alas, they've deleted their account but, yes, when they actually get a paying customer ;D it is very likely that he will spend more with them than he will ever earn from bookings via their site.

I had originally deleted my profile because I felt the comments were unhelpful and unnecessarily critical. I doubt you dish out such venom to any new female escort directories where I'm sure many women are exploited. I not naive I appreciate that there simply isn't as much of a demand for male escorts but there are women out there who want the service. I have spent time on the site and am promoting the escorts. I spend time explaining to the men that email me queries that there is no guarantee that they will secure any work, it's as simple as that. I thought joining and contacting this site would be a benefit but sadly it has been far from a mature exchange of views. If it is viewed as a scam then you are entitled to your opinion, but I can assure you it is not, I am not pressurizing any men into joining, they are free to make that decision and leave if they are not happy. There are many independent male escorts out there, I have simply built a site as a platform for them to advertise their services. I don't think 7 pounds is an extortionate amount for providing a tailored service. I would appear to have touched a nerve.

Well since you're back, the least you could do is answer some of the very valid points made above? Or could you just not sit still any longer without coming back to bluster and rant about how mean we all are?

Whether or not women in the sex industry are exploited (and I would imagine very few are exploited by online directories, bar the odd stolen picture - apart from anything else, the popular sites which can successfully charge us to use them tend to be able to do so because they work, since there are so many free alternatives out there) is nothing to do with anything - people in all sectors are exploited.

There is a huge difference between telling people that putting an ad up won't guarantee them any work (which is so obvious you may as well tell them night follows day) and misleading them by pretending there is a market for something when there is not. Did you read any of the thread you have been repeatedly linked to?

Sites which lie to potentially vulnerable people, male or female, about there being work for them when there isn't (as with 'non-sexual escorting' sites, in the latter case) to part them from their cash are treated here with exactly the contempt and derision they deserve, and to try and justify this by arguing that because it's a smaller amount it's OK to con people out of it is beyond belief. You've actually been treated extremely politely, the reason being that your site appears to be the result of a total lack of industry knowledge or research coupled with a few half baked assumptions and some misplaced optimism. In other words, you're the village idiot rather than the child catcher.

Are you going to answer the questions above now?

I'm sorry if I have offended anybody through these posts. It would appear my good intentions were naive. I agree there are lots of scams, I myself wanted to contact an escort and many of the men's contact details led nowhere. This led me to start my own directory were I could monitor the escorts and verify their details. I am still struggling to understand what it is I have done that is so wrong. I would rather not comment any more as this will only add fuel to the fire.

I doubt very much that any escort from this site is interested in male escorts. All we need to do is put our charm on in a nightclub or wherever for free. With no guaranteed work for the males isn't much of a successful site to begin with.Just imagine if I advertised cumming isn't a guaranteed service omg.How flawed that would be. Any business needs to have the main ingredient guarantee to flourish to say the least to even have a chance at being successful. Remember people talk the reputation will go down hill before any thing. Many women don't need to pay to get laid simple as. Many women in society know how easy it is to get laid because there's many horny males in society with hard c**ks.  Independent male escorts coming to a new site looks dim. I will never advertise on a new site just for the less likelihood of interest.

I am still struggling to understand what it is I have done that is so wrong.

You're making a profit by misleading people. As XW5 and strawberry pointed out- your replies to your faq- "Is there a demand for straight male escorts?" and "How much can you realistically earn as a male escort?" are untrue. You said you were being naive rather than trying to scam anyone, and I believe you, but it's immoral to lead people to think they'll get enough female clients to make a living now that you now know this isn't the case.

Many women don't need to pay to get laid simple as. Many women in society know how easy it is to get laid because there's many horny males in society with hard c**ks.

I don't think it is that simple. Very few of my male clients 'need' to pay to get laid. They pay for escort services for all sorts of different reasons. They want someone who will be unselfish and attentive tho their needs, who will give them an enjoyable experience and be discreet. I think the casual, no-strings nature of a liaison with an escort does appeal a lot more to men than to women though..
