It is a bit, erm, odd to have a 'high class beautiful escorts' tag line below a triptych of some dodgy looking geezers! The English punctuation and grammar is pretty poor, too.

It's a directory masquerading as an agency. What you see are its initial victims!
It was obviously initially targeting the straight male escort market - see the FAQ which talks about the escort being "him" - and has decided to look for female victims too.
I don't know how much the 'subscription payment' to have a profile is, but I bet it's not small and it's non-refundable.

I try to explain this to men who ask me about straight male Escorting. They often don't understand, because they truly believe the media myth that there is a market for them, so can't see what the directory is taking advantage of them (or that the agency are doing wrong).
As a straight female I get annoyed when directories are confused for agencies, even the customers get the two mixed up. ::)
I've just visited the site, and yes it is a very sorry situation. Even if they haven't made much outlay, it's the fact that they look so hopeful.................

Seriously though, it is not fair on people to lie to them like that. Individuals should really research escorting thoroughly before committing their private pictures to display all over the web!

But are they really victims? I presume that every adult who joined the site understood that they were registering on an escort site as a potential sex worker.

They were lied to about a number of things, including that the site is 'an agency' and that there's a significant market for straight male escorts.
They were lied to in order to extract money from them, so yes, I would count them as victims.

Ahhh XW5, my apologies as I didn't realise this. :( That's a completely different situation and especially extracting a fee with the "promise" of work. :(
We hear of so many of these scams which have been going on for so long. I'm always surprised people are still falling for this type of scheme.

Most directories will tell you how many potential customers they have waiting for you.

I think a lot of people are shocked to discover that utterly ordinary-looking, sometimes downright "plain," escorts can make a good living (I am one of them.) I'm sure that someone who stumbled across my website or Twitter may well say, "Who would pay THAT to fuck them?!"

Yes, that was my point plus I was not aware that they were 'victims' until pointed out by SW5.
Plenty of people pay to fuck me, others don't but the day someone doesn't like my post (Amelia) then I'm sure it will be removed but as long as it's a free country if you don't like what you read then move on!
