The agency may well offer 'The lowest commission in the North East' but as a lady who works in the North East myself I have to say I find it very depressing to see yet ANOTHER agency opening up here at meat market ?50 for 30 minutes and ?90 an hour prices Even is you only take 25% commission the agencies ladies are still only going to walk away from a ?50 a half appointment with ?37.50 ) During which they will have clients requesting (and expecting as if it is their divine right) OWO, to cum twice etc etc. (I know this from personal experience as a lady who has had the misfortune of working for such low price agencies in the past)

It is agencies taking this attitude that such prices are acceptable than is making the North East such a difficult place for ladies to make a decent living. If only more agencies would be brave enough to start charging the rates that their ladies actually deserve  for the extremely personal and at times demanding job they do. It might help to lift the area out of the escorting doldrums that it is currently in

I've gotten to know the NE a little bit and I also have contact with the Manchester scene too. I would say agencies are Newcastle's version of Manchester's parlours. Yes it does hold the scene in the doldrums. A couple of indies(Krystal Champagne and Stephanie spring to mind) do a great job but it has become a very 'cheap' almost pretentious area. When NG were still running even I over in Cumbria, would get asked why I didn't offer ?450 overnights.

I held back from touring the area for a long time, I mean why visit somewhere already with lots of indies. Turns out the guys want something/someone different and/or don't want to visit 'agency' flats.

I'm not knocking it since there is a market and niche for everyone, however I do knock the pretence.

I couldn't agree more Strawberry. Sadly the majority of agencies in Newcastle are, as you say, now nothing more than parlours running under a different name. Not that I am be-litting parlours in the slightest, in fact many of the ladies now working for these Newcastle 'agencies' would be better off in a parlour. At least then they could charge for extras and end up with more money in their pocket than at a ?50 (before commission , flat rent etc!) for 30 minutes 'agency'.

Sadly I think that the after effects of the NG era will continue for a long time yet as most agencies seem unable or afraid to break the current mould and charge higher prices. As an indie myself I have being told that my rates of ?120  (shock horror) an hour incall are 'far too high'. The sad thing is that the men who tell me this have gotton so used to getting girls for next to nothing up here that they actually believe that they are in the right to say that and I am indeed being 'greedy'.

It is all very frustrating to say the least
