How Not To Run A Directory Case Study 2: randyescorts.com
« on: 05 August 2012, 12:19:18 am »
RandyEscorts.com is a completely free directory - no funny business we promise!

We are sure there are thousands of directories out there and most likely the best way to get noticed is by having a listing on all of them. RandyEscorts.com is just another directory however we are ad and spam free - The website allows anyone to see escort contact details - no registration required. This way all potential clients have a hassle free experience browsing all listings of escorts. What we want to do is cut out the middle man! Anyway registration is simple and should take about 5 minutes so please give us a try  :) we are in need of escort listings big time!

Thanks in advance.

This is the 3rd new directory advertised in the last week and you all use the same site basically?

Randy Escort uses a WordPress theme developed by dolcepixal. We edited the theme to our liking.

Even odder than that, two of them are using the same computer.

The OP will be explaining this fascinating coincidence to us to us right now, in view of the fact that multinicking here is grounds for an instant ban...

There is no need for that as we are deleting the other account we had here - just need to get the password for the account first  :P

edit - just deleted the account but the posts are still up - feel free to delete all escortmonster.com posts or posts made by the user escortmonster that website has been sold.

No worries. Shall I merge the 'escort monster' thread in with this one to keep things tidy?

Thanks for the quick reply. We deleted the account as we have no more connection with escortmonster the website was sold.

- edit - We should apologise to any users that had a listing set up there hopefully not many of you and we are sorry if we wasted your time. The website was purchased by a tuning company that specializes in tuning ford escorts - I guess the name fits their bill. Funnier things have happened I guess.

And you miraculously decided to delete the account... right after I pointed out that you were breaking the rules. Incredible (although not as incredible as somebody actually handing over money for that site, if indeed they did).

Any more of the same will mean an instant ban, and this time you won't get a warning.

No need for hostility truly. I did apologies. Anyway you can verify my statement by visiting the site - you wont find anything on it any more.

well perhaps you should let us know when you've settled on a site so we dont waste out time registering for a site that's going to be sold within the week  ::)

[...]

We also implemented search engine optimization so that we can start to hit first pages on Google searches

We DON'T need/want yet another directory to clog up search engine results!!! It should be MY website coming up on the Google first page when punters search for escorts in my area, not your spam-like useless directory!

Well, thanks a lot for nothing. I have registered with EscortMonster. I willy not be registering with your new directory.  So I guess you will not be contacting those that registered with EscortMonster to inform them that you have sold the site and that their listing is no longer live? Tell  me why should anybody register with your directory if this is how you behave?  Coming back to the forum under a new disguise. Did you think that you could pull the wool of over our eyes? Fail.
