Yes Adultwork do and plenty do not like it. Many have reported there selfie becoming public and clients have seen there face so it is a terrible system.

If Adultwork never brought in good amount of work for lots of women they would not have many members agreeing to there terms. Can you  imagine the amount of damage they caused when women's faces were exposed to the world by accident holding a banner saying they sell sex on adultwork and all those clients taking screen shots and posting there pictures elsewhere for the world to see.

I agree with you 100% on this.  If someone doesn't want their face to be seen then the risk to that should be minimised as much as possible.  You mentioned that the verification photos had to be clicked to be made hidden?  This is what I personally disagree with - there should always be that level of separation between anything that's being used for verification and advertising.   That's why when you upload on my site the verification is kept completely separate from the photos that you use to advertise.     The section to upload for advertising is for 'Viewing my profile', and there is another different section for Verified status - that allows me to make my checks.
