So you get money from vivastreet, from ads, &
you still say you needd to cover 100% expenses by subscriptions?
Maths ain't mathing.

It is a mixture of all revenue that will keep the app alive, operating, and administered ..... Please don't use hobbyist maths to do your "mathing"

Was working on it earlier for 10 mins which caused some (iOS) downtime.

Am disgusted by those who are questioning Emma’s motives for having to start charging for Client Eye and claiming the numbers don’t stack up. Given the time, effort and money Emma (and whomever it is she works with) have put into CE to date, it is nothing short of miraculous that she has managed to operate CE on such a shoestring budget and at a cost to her own day-to-day life, and not started implementing a subscription method sooner.

Emma, you are providing an incredibly valuable service - thank you, don’t let the naysayers get you down!

As the rules thread at the top of the section states members can critique the posts in this section as they see fit. The OP is not above these rules and neither is anybody else.

I have a quick question or possibly a suggestion depending how you want to look at it.

You have a feature under the shield icon once expanded to enable someone to donate a sum via gofundme to help those unable to pay the subscription

Would it be possible to offer two levels of subscription for those that want to be able to help, a basic level as now and a second level where the subscribers pay a minimal extra for example an extra £2 on top of the basic subscription fee, the extra £2 could then be held in a separate account and used to help the girls who can't pay for a subscription.
It would have the advantage of you knowing what is coming in each month as you would have a count of all those on the slightly higher rate, I know it would be a more favorable way for me to help rather than remembering to donate via lump sum  :)

That’s a really good idea. I wouldn’t mind paying a little extra

I think a lot of us would be the same as we could budget for that extra £2 or Whatever a month.

Ok, we will look into it, it may not be possible with Gofundme but should be possible with Donorbox as they have options including One time. Monthly and Yearly donations.

We know that vulnerable users will have different needs so can split all donations into monthly segments, this way we can offer vulnerable users different things, some may need 1 or 3 months access due to UC santions or may need 12 month access due to immigration status.

We are currently looking into options to best deliver to this to vulnerable users

Ok, we have made some changes based on the suggestions here.

When clicking the shield icon or taking out a subscription, all users will now see a "DonorBox" link.
Users can donate suggested amounts or set their own amount, either as a one-time donation or as a Monthly / Yearly donation.

We have raised £135 via GoFundMe and these funds will be used to supply 46 vulnerable users with 1 mths of access to ClientEye after 17th May 2022.
For those that may question our "Mathing" we have divided £34.99/12 which is £2.91 x 46 = £133.86

We have meetings arranged to best distribute and allocate these to vulnerable users.

Other changes we have made this weekend

Previous to yesterday we would display restriction removal information if/when a user needed to see them (i.e. if reports existed), we have changed this so ALL users of our apps will now be prompted to have restrictions removed (if they have not already had them removed) from their next search. We know this WILL increase our workload over the coming few weeks but it's something that needs to be done to STOP clients trying to gain ANY information from our apps.

Well done Emma and Co I applaud what you have achieved and what you are doing 👏

Just wondering how you ladies (or gents) are going to declare the 'expense' for this on your taxes. My accountant is a ex client but I rarely see him, but I'm registered as 'virtual PA and healthcare services' with HMRC rather than a sex worker so not sure how I can justify this, although at £34.99 I'm not massively bothered. Just wondering. Please don't shoot me  I'm low level and part time so every penny counts.

You could call it a subscription to XXX service?

Even as a virtual PA and healthcare service you would be allowed to claim expenses for apps or publications that are related to your work, in its simplest form we are a call monitoring/reporting application. All receipts that are sent include our company name.
