    • Client Eye App
"Client Eye" is now available on the android playstore it enables users to view and make reports on Timewasters/Call-SMS Pest/Abusive/No Shows together with report description & location. ( IOS coming soon )

Information below from the play store description.
The Client Eye app is a free safety scheme for workers.
We improve the safety of workers by bringing workers together to share information about potential Timewasters, Call or Text pests, Abusive communication & No Shows.
Our app will display a notification on screen each time you receive a call or SMS, if the incomming number appears in our database we will alert you and show you any report description and location.
All received reports are displayed anonymously and are the view and comments of the original poster.
Once installed please use the anonymous bulk report feature and report all your Timewasters, Call or Text pests, Abusive communication & No Shows, so others app users can be notified instantly when they receive a call or text

"Client Eye" v1.7 has been fully rolled out.
(Users using v1.5 will need to update to v1.7 in order to enable the new reporting options)
Apps should auto update once a day ( depending on your phone settings ) but you can force an update by visiting the playstore searching for "Client Eye" and updating manually

Updates Include:
Manual search feature.
Single and bulk reporting options combined into one page with single or multiple location options.
Report type options available upon "report" selection.
Removed the need for the IMEI to be collected when reporting for more anonymity.
Added the ability to view, report & search any international numbers for escorts who tour or are based outside of the UK.

An IOS version of the app is now in development which is estimated to be available in approx 4-5 weeks.
See twitter.com/clienteyeapp or facebook.com/clienteyeapp for updates
Please message us at clienteyeuk@gmail.com if you have any issues with the app and need any technical help.

...I've had the app developed so it shares nothing from any device unless a report is made, only then is information collected and sent securely via https to a secure database...

I have Client Eye on my phone.  But I just had a call from a prospective punter whose number has an alert both on SAAFE and on NUM but not in Client Eye.  ("We have 0 reports on 12345 678910" was the feedback from CE).   Just a heads up that we should not rely on CE completely for safety alerts.  (Not that you have said that we should, mind).

I have since completed a CE report against the individual concerned.

Thanks for doing the report.

The app does things in a slightly different way with the ability to bulk report all your stored timewasters no shows ect with just a few clicks, i would never recommend only 1 source for reports as all platforms have their own databases. CE will have the smallest database at the moment as its just started but it has a big opportunity to grow quickly if users bulk report.

I've posted previously that i had 270 timewasters stored in my phone and asked if that was excessive, it seams most have simular numbers, some more so. Hence CE being developed, if just a small number of users bulk reported their stored timewasters the database could grow into the 10,000's very quickly. x

The android Client Eye v1.5 update

Included a "report link" to the "View report" page
Made some changes to the "Bulk Report" feature
Duplicated reports about the same number from the same user are now combined.

An ios version is yet to be released but funds are being raised via crowdfunder to help its development.

Hmm. Just downloaded onto my HTC U11. Installed fine but has the following issues:

Asks for permissions every time you open it
Takes over the entire screen
After reporting a number, the app force closes
On the "Texts" tab, just displays numbers rather than the contact name
After my second report, the app force closed and my phone is now trapped in an endless reboot cycle - will have to do a hard reset by the looks of things, oh joy.
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes
The undiscovered continent for you to undress

That would indicate that your phone isnt remembering the permissions already given as the app only requests once in normal operation and your device should remember.
After reporting a number, the app force closes
Force close ( crash) reports will be looked at via our developer account to look for any operational issues ( none have been previously reported )
On the "Texts" tab, just displays numbers rather than the contact name
Its designed that way are different users will store a number with different names.
After my second report, the app force closed and my phone is now trapped in an endless reboot cycle - will have to do a hard reset by the looks of things
This does sound more like a device issue but again crash reports will be looked at. Thanks

TBF, I've had issues in the past with HTC phones playing about with apps, I think it's usually because HTC has their own brand "Sense" UI installed and this seems to cause conflicts.

It does sound a great concept and I'd really like to use it. If I get time I will try installing it on a different handset.

Just a quick update. I've been able to install this without problems on a different phone (OnePlus 5.) This phone also uses a proprietary version of Android, but uses the Android UI - so it seems that the HTC Sense UI causes the problems.

I still don't like that it's fullscreen and that it only give the option to Exit after reporting, rather than returning to the main interface.

I'll bulk upload my extensive list of TW and ones to avoid over the next few days.

We will look at the Sense UI issue you raised to see if theres anything we can do to stop any future issues.

When the app is open it will be full screen however as you will have seen when running in the background its limited to a small notification when a call or sms comes through, in regards to the "Exit" button after making a report this is being adapted in our next version (v1.6).

V1.6 will make the "Exit" button return to the start of the app rather than exiting the app

An upgrade to the "Bulk report" is also being done so a report type can be chosen for each report entry, this update should be available in the next 7-10 days so may be best to wait for this update before bulk reporting so more accurate details can be entered. x

Can it be used on an iPhone either now or in future?

At the moment the app is only available for android on the Play Store "Client Eye", currently raising funds via crowdfunding to have an IOS version developed and will add to this post when thats available. x

If the app wasn't full screen it might be more compatible with the HTC Sense UI... just a thought. (I haven't worked with android apps, only Windows ones so I'm just guessing.)

I've put the issue with HTC Sence to people with more technical knowledge than myself and i'm awaiting their findings and possible fixes.  :)

I have downloaded the app and I think it's fab, but I am a little conerned about privacy.

Why does the app require your IMEI number? For those of us whose work phones are on contract this is a little alarming; if the app was compromised it means that identifying information could fall into the wrong hands.

I'm super keen on the app and I've told a lot of working friends about it, we all think its fab but many of us are concerned about this privacy issue and  the risk of a breach.
