Meigan here from the Terrence Higgins Trust. I am the outreach worker for the Wakefield and Barnsley area.

We are providing:
* Free home, massage parlour or clinic testing (Rapid HIV & Syphilis testing, Hepatitis B testing, Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia screening)
* Free condoms (bags of 100) and lube
* Sexual health advice and information
* Signposting and referrals to other services as and when required

Post by: wishlist on 24 August 2016, 12:26:54 pm: Saw meigan today while I was briefly at home from touring, really nice lady, swabs, lube, condoms flavoured and different sizes, they also do a safety buddy communication where if you are unable to let any friends know what you do you can text meigan at the end of each day to let her know you are safe

Hi Meigan

This is NOT helpful at all, you have posted up details of a service which is clearly only for street workers (and their separate issues) and not the one you offer in Barnsley and Wakefield for independent escorts who work indoors!!!

Why not just say no there is no service available for Sheffield ?

This is the only project that I am aware of at he moment in Sheffield. My service is not only for independent escorts but covers all working girls.

I was slightly dubious at first, and I was worried how id be able to discuss these things with someone I didn't even know, but seriously, Meigan is lovely and totally approachable. (No stuck up receptionist looking at you in dis belief)

Im in the Barnsley/Doncaster area and to have someone come to my house, do the routine tests (no embarrassment of having to sit with your legs in the air while a doctor talks about the weather, your given the 'stick' to swab yourself. (Its Ironic really, I find going for a smear/sti check embarrassing given the work we do but hey ho..haha) and given loads of info (as well as the free condoms!) I think its a good thing. Oh and theres no 3 hour lectures on the do's & donts ;p

So yes, girls if this is offered in your area - take it. And Meigan - Thank you, your a credit to the trust which you work for
