I went to the GUM clinic on Monday at 2pm. I was informed that the clinic was closed and they would not be taking further booking unless the clinic re opens and to telephone them an hour later. I was not looking forward to sitting for an hour and a half in there anyway. I left the building and then runs the women's project located in Hanley, Stoke on Trent. I spoke to one of the workers thee he was lovely. I was completely reassured about my ananimity. The issue I had about contacting them is I used to work in a similar field and was worried I may have crossed paths with a worker career wise. Anyway they arranged for an appointment in their office where I saw a nurse today for a full STI check and the start of a Hep B immunisation. I felt completely relaxed there and would definitely reccommend to other internet WG. I think the impression is that it is for street WG girls but they were very accommodating, welcoming and supportive for me.
