New Info Website & Iphone Application for Strippers
« on: 28 August 2012, 05:29:46 pm »
Hi Folks,

Please let anyone you know who works or is thinking of working in striptease know about a new information website & Iphone application for dancers "Dancers Information".  These have been produced as part of  a project I've been working on with Dr Teela Sanders at Leeds University, this is the follow on project to largest study todate of the striptease club sector and dancer experiences  in the UK "The Regulatory Dance" and has been funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.

You'll find the website at;

http://www.dancersinfo.co.uk/

The website is at this stage an info resoruce rather than a forum.

The Iphone App can be downloaded for free (where you canset up a password) ? search ?dancers? in the App store and Dancers
Information is listed in the top 10.

The resources focus on; personal safety at work,  tax awareness and self employment rights and top tips for working. We consulted heavily with the dancer community, as well as drawing on findings from the research project and specialist input from HM Revenue and Customers and on safety at work from the Suzy Lamplugh Trust. Some sections are written by dancers for dancers and all had input from dancers. The website has ?Top Tips? for dancers in English, Romanian, Russian and Spanish. Both resources have links to the original research on which this
project draws you'll find those at:

Thanks  Rosie
