After many tribulations I am pleased to say that Jolyon's Tax Diary is back. If you haven't come across it before, it is a no-nonsense book-keeping diary specifically designed for escorts.
The much overdue diary for this year (April 2010 to April 2011) is now available as is the new edition for the year that starts this coming April.
The diary is in exactly the same format as previous years and because Lulu have just reduced their printing costs it is even better value for money at just ?12.50. And it looks to me as though Lulu have also reduced their shipping charges.
It is available here http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=1671552 (http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=1671552)

Anyone who uses Jolyon's TaxDiary to organise their accounts may want to know that the 2012 edition, which covers the tax year due to start in April, is now available.
The cover design is slightly different this year, but the inside is unchanged. As before it is A5 size and coil bound so the pages fold flat making it easy to write in. The price is also unchanged at ?12.50 plus postage & packing.
And you can find it here http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/jkjolyon (http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/jkjolyon)

This looks fantastic. Having just started out in the business I have ordered it to give me a helping hand keeping track of the money side. Having been self employed in a different field previously I found doing my own accounts a nightmare so I am hoping this will help me alot. Will give feedback once it has arrived.
-
I've just ordered one too :) will let you know what it's like when I get it.
-
Oh wow! This looks like a life saver. I've been racking my brains about how to get round paying for an accountant, as filling out tax returns just seems like a daunting task to attempt on my own. I've just ordered one, but the WELCOMEUK code didn't work. Still! It'll save me in the long run ;D
-
Just to let you know that taxrelief4escorts.co.uk (http://taxrelief4escorts.co.uk) has been brought up to date and now has a cleaner look which we hope makes it easier to find your way around.
It is an advice only site and we don't do accountancy work, although there are plans to see if it is feasible to recommend accountants.

Hiya. Is there anywhere to purchase this book from in the UK? I have looked on Amazon and ebay but no luck. The previous link listed is lulu in the US and it costs approx $22, I don't mind paying it thats how much it costs now but someone metioned getting it for around ?12 and I do like a deal ;D
-
Ohh wait. You just change the store to the UK.... :P

If anyone is looking for a reliable, professional and non-judgemental accountant you may like to know we've been putting together a directory of escort-friendly accountants.
We now have four listed, from different corners of the UK, and we are talking to a couple more.
They are all experienced in looking after the tax affairs of escorts, and they are all professionally qualified with one of the UK recognised accounting bodies. That?s important because when you use a qualified accountant you know they?ve passed rigorous exams to get their qualification and have to do hours of courses every year to keep up to date; you know they must have professional indemnity insurance to cover the risk that they give you bad advice or are negligent in handling your affairs; and you know if anything goes wrong you can complain about their behaviour to their professional body.
The directory can be found here http://www.taxrelief4escorts.co.uk/accountants/accountants4escorts/ (http://www.taxrelief4escorts.co.uk/accountants/accountants4escorts/)

Going to get one of those books.

I'm pleased to say that the 7th edition of Jolyon's bookkeeping diary for escorts is now available to order, in readiness for the new tax year, which starts in April.
The price is unchanged at ?12.50 plus p&p and you can find the details here http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/jkjolyon (http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/jkjolyon).

No, that link is not right. It seems to take you to a page with the year before last's edition of Jolyon's diary plus some other book altogether.
Please use the original link in my post of 26 Feb. If it gives you the prices is dollars just scroll to the bottom of the page and change your country to UK.
Thanks very much!

Yay! I do love this diary! I was after another copy of this year 13/14 as I spilt water on my original but couldn't get hold of a replacement. Just ordered 14/15 (2 copies!)
Thanks!
-
Just ordered two of these diaries for my first (full) year of escorting!!! I will let you know how I get on! ;D

Well any responsible intelligent adult who realises that our public services don't just fall out of the sky and isn't selfish, greedy or parasitic enough to expect everybody else - including people on minimum wage who have their tax deducted at source - to pay their share for them? Or just anybody who doesn't want to be annihilated by HMRC when their ads get spotted/banking activity gets questioned/income gets reported by a stroppy punter, neighbour or competitor.
So everybody who isn't a stupid cunt then, basically.
HTH.

National Insurance contributions are also useful for things such as future benefits as well as the state pension. An incomplete record can result in a reduction in the amount payable.

Sweet Jesus. :FF

Website was certainly selling them last week, and two are on the way to me right now.
I use one for sex work and one for my other business.

I’ve used this publication for the past 3 years and can’t praise it enough! It make everything so simple.
Keeping records, especially in regard to accounts, is not my forte and I’d be lost without it. :P
Highly recommend! :D
-
So do I. I also got my accountant from that site and he's fantastic. I love the humour in the articles on the site x

I registered self employed a couple of weeks ago and I just ordered my first Tax Relief Diary! It's a bit sad but I'm really excited for it to come. I've always quite enjoyed a bit of admin plus I think it feels nice knowing I'm all above board.
Does the diary mention escorting in it at all? Just wondering how careful I have to be with my nosy kid around!
