Friendly Accountant
« on: 03 December 2011, 08:01:29 am »
Hi Everyone

I am new to these forums so please be gentle with me.  If I overstep the mark on advertising please point me in the right direction.

I have read a number of articles recently which suggest that escorts sometimes struggle to find accountants that deal with them in a professional manner.  I would like to offer my services to anyone that needs assistance either with one off questions or help with their tax returns.

I would consider myself to be approachable and friendly, and hope that I would be able to save you all some tax.

Whether you are unhappy with your current accountant or new to the industry I'm happy to answer questions raised on here or you can email me wendy@occca.co.uk if you prefer.

Thank you for reading   ;D

Wendy

Where are you located?
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Hi

Thanks for your reply

I am based on the Surrey/Hampshire border but have clients all over the country - I can deal with clients by meeting up or telephone/email if that is easier

Thank you to those of you that sent me messages, I am not ignoring you. Unfortunately I can't reply to inbox messages on here  :(

If you already have an accountant but it's not working out it's easy enough to change over.  Don't stick with someone you don't feel comfortable with

Indeed - can members please remember once again that advertisers cannot send PMs?

The only reason non-workers are permitted to post here is so that members can get in touch with them if they are interested in whatever they are offering - this ad has an email address where the OP has requested to be contacted, and anybody would like further info should use that.

As an aside, most accountants would want to meet you in person at least once in order to see photo ID (and for you to see theirs); I don't know if there are ways around this to satisfy the money laundering laws but we would not advise sending sensitive personal data such as passport scans out to random people from the internet. Bearing in mind that an accountant is going to know virtually everything about you (legal name, address, income, bank details etc), I would recommend insisting on a face to face meeting if one isn't forthcoming (and this isn't directed at the OP, rather a reminder to not take anything you read on here at face value) :).

I agree with everything Amy has said, make sure you know who you are dealing with.

Fortunately in the modern world we are lucky enough to be able to deal with clients remotely using Facetime / Skype to 'meet' clients face to face if it is easier

I am a member of the ACCA and would be more than happy to provide copies of any of my ID prior to you giving me personal details.  We are also bound by client confidentiality as I am sure you are aware
