So you basically want paying to do a job that you are not legally licensed to do?  As I said I have done that type of work here and abroad and ?40 an hour is a very very good rate for the uk protecting someone who is not high risk ( by high risk I mean liable to be shot or bombed).
To be honest why would anyone who is working legally pay you the same rate to work illegally as they could pay some who was above board so to speak. It Is illegal to do any security work in the UK without the correct SIA license and has been for 7 years now since the licenes were slowly introduced county by county.
Truth is far more important than what one wants to hear. With truth there is no us and them or colour or religion there is just fact

I've been a self defence instructor for 7 years and know not only how to look after myself but others too.

Lets dragons den this a bit, the idea doesn't sound thought through. Your available hours are quite limited so the reality of what you could actually earn is very slim.. So slim I'd have to wonder why you don't stick to what you know (instead of an industry you don't) and offer self defense lessons to escorts or anyone?!

This is a tough industry where us ladies regularly "fight off" people who try to take advantage of us so yes we're always going to be suspicious of anyone offering services to us being we are the service providers. You bailed so quickly I don't think it's the industry for you so as someone somewhere once said at some point "stick to what you're good at!"

Dear Forum members

I would like to say that I am extremely lucky to have a retained driver who has a SIA DS Frontline licence, he accompanies me on all road moves, and does many other things for me outside this role, but I don't allow him to cover incall.  He has shown his licence to police officers on a couple of occassions during routine stops, and they have always been happy that the person is providing security for me, and is licenced and experienced to do so.

Pardon me for being thick, but you're telling us this (and reanimating a dead thread) why? If your driver is offering his services, he needs to start a thread of his own.

I was not aware their may be time-lines on replies to posts !!!  And NO, my driver is not advertising, and looking for work.  I was simply adding my experiences of using a security driver, very sorry.  And slightly over moderated in this case ..

I'm sure you can understand why the moderators on this forum are extremely careful when it comes to potentially misleading posts. Yours above WAS full of glowing, ad-like praise and you DID post it in a thread in the Adverting section (this section of the forum is called "Seeking/Offering", so it's not a discussion area like the other main sections - you should head to the Babble section if you just want to make general statements about yourself). So you can see how we might have become confused regarding your intentions.

Posting in a really old thread is classic spammer behaviour, unfortunately. And starting your post "Dear Forum members (sic)"? Is oddly general, like spam posts. I can see how it's all an unfortunate misunderstanding etc etc but any new member who joins this forum sans-introduction and without joining in any normal chat/discussion, only posting in the advertising areas, must understand that we cannot assume anything about his/her intentions and must therefore be cautious about their actions.

As Amy said, if your driver wants to advertise, he's welcome to register himself as an Advertiser - that's just the way we do things here, because we like things to be clear and simple so that the escorts using this forum find it as easy as possible to find useful information from hopefully-trustworthy sources.

We will always be super-cautious on this forum because sex workers are often targeted by unscrupulous groups and individuals who think they can run a quick scam on potentially naive and vulnerable women. I'm sorry if you are offended about your post being misinterpreted but I don't think anyone here is sorry about our high levels of wariness. They are necessary cos the Internet is absolutely full of nutters, scammers and weirdos and we like to try to keep this forum somewhat of a safe haven.
