Hi there.

I have been a private chaffeur in the past, recently made redundant so looking for work. I can offer a secure driving service for anyone who requires it. I am a lady of 27, full clean licence, currently driving a Mercedes. I would be happy to work for individuals or agencies. I can do short notice through the day, night calls by 24 HR prior arrangement. I am physically able to defend if required, and intelligent enough to understand when discretion and quick thinking is required.
Please contact me directly with rates of pay.

Thank you.

It is nice to see women offering their services as a driver.  Can I again point out that unless you have an SIA close protection license it is illegal for you to offer protection and it is illegal for anyone to hire you as such.  If any incident occurs and the police become involved both you and the girl hiring you will be arrested and charged

Going off topic, this SIA course is something I have thought of purchasing for one of my relatives who has never worked. Is it a worthwhile thing to get and how easy is it?
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Hi again,

I would look into that also, I wasnt aware of that so thank you for pointing that out, I have been reading this site since my post and learned a lot in regards to police attitudes etc, I honestly just thought if there was any physical 'aggro' I would be entitled to step in and defend as any friend or relative would of the person being attacked, or even if I saw a stranger being assaulted I would step in, however if the police in such instance would expect me to have SIA licencing I will look into that, I was a registered door supervisor at one point so I have contacts for courses.

It was actually a comment I read on a message board about how men offer to be drivers in return for "perks of the job" so thought maybe I could offer my services without anybody worrying about alterior motives.

Must say this is a fantastic community and I love how you girls all stick together and help each other out.

The close protection one is a couple fo thousand pounds and is roughly 150 hours of training and is bloody hard to get if you have not already had, covert handling training, physical intervention training, conflict management training, as well as training in other areas.  There is two courses in the UK one in London and one in Manchester.  It is a bloody hard course and some have to do it 6 or more times before they pass which is expensive but considering you will have someone elses life in your hands it is neccessary

Yes they will pay to do the security guard one (for shopping centres etc) and the door supervisor one but NOT the close protection one.  There are many SIA licenses for different jobs but each can ony be used for the job they are issued for

just to clarify the jobcentre WILL NOT pay for anything anymore! the only course you can do is ECDL (computers) or GCSE's.

i know this as my partner went to see them when he first lost his job. he wanted to do SIA and CSCS card training and was told he has to fund them himself!
