I want to start a companion agency
« on: 14 March 2011, 05:35:10 pm »
Hi there,

I want to set up a companion agency in West Yorkshire, also with N/S bookings but I really don't know where to start. I have done work like this before however I was very weary as every agency wanted a ?250 up front fee which I don't think is appropriate. I've got a website currently under construction and I was wondering how to recruit and also get a bigger client base. I also have a Driver who ensures of safety.

Please may I have a bit of guidance.

Thank you Very Much

Kisses

Suzie

Give up now. If you really want to try non-sexual escorting yourself, you will probably be wasting your time, but not nearly so much as if you try to get bookings for others.

There's a good thread elsewhere here from someone on non-sexual escorting, but the market is minimal. Why should someone pay ?x for that when, for the same money, they could do whatever you are expecting clients to want to do and have sex too? This is why there are so many scams out there: it's the only way they can make money from non-sexual escorting!

So the N/S side is a waste of time then! That was going to be a side line however if it will not create any business then I shall give up on that! I would still like to create an agency I would just leave the N/S side of it out! Thank you for the advice, possibly saved me a lot of wasted time!

Suzie, did I misunderstand your first post or have you not actually done any escorting work before? If so, will you at least be hiring (at good hourly rates!) a few genuine sex workers to give you advice on how best to operate within this industry? There are an awful lot of people starting agencies who have no idea what they're doing; it's endlessly exhausting - you've got a dozen clients on one phone yammering in your ear that they want X, Y, Z at 2am or 9am or 7pm or next week and does that girl do this service and can I have a discount cos I'm a loyal customer (and so on), then you've got a dozen girls on the other phone telling you they're busy, or they've lost your commission, or client A, B or C is rude, smelly or abusive, or they can't work Monday after 8pm only Tuesdays and Sundays from either 11am or 2pm (and so on).

If you'd like to make some money, it's actually a lot easier to just get yourself a safety buddy, a cheap PAYG phone and a website/Adultwork profile (in that order) and see a few clients yourself. :) Plus - running an agency is very illegal; I heard recently about a bloke in London being put away for two years because of it. How are you going to launder your money? (Don't answer that!) Are you going to be strict enough with your clients that your girls never have to see anyone rude, stinky or worse? If so, how on earth are you going to gather enough clients to keep all of your girls earning enough? If the girls don't earn enough, they aren't happy and if the girls aren't happy, the clients aren't either. Plus, from what I can see on the escort directories and listings sites, agencies need to pay full whack for as many front-page listings as they can possibly get; I reckon a new agency could haemorrhage hundreds if not thousands of pounds for a good few months before beginning to earn any sort of decent income.

As many escorts have remarked on this forum recently, this industry has changed over the last few years. Apparently you could expect to see 8+ in a day at 'normal' (?100+) rates a few years ago! I cannot imagine things being like that now, there is far too much competition. If you have worked but not in a while, I definitely recommend you reacquaint yourself with the biz before risking thousands with an agency venture.

I hope I don't sound completely rude - but if you aren't even sure at the moment whether you are or are not dealing with scams, I do not think you are likely in a savvy enough position to be taking huge, illegal risks like this. Of course you're free to do as you wish but we cannot condone illegal activities on this forum and, as such, I'm going to have to ask you not to post asking for advice on running agencies. If you decide to work in the industry legally (sucking the willies yourself!), though, we are absolutely all here to answer any questions you might have. :D

Thank you for the sound advice all taken on board!! I did get involved in the industry a while back, however I did not trust the person fully and feared for my safety where do you come across a safebuddy?

My only issue is that I had a child 8 months ago and although I'm still a size 8 I have one or two marks! Slightly nervous that I wouldn't get anywhere!

Suzi, I doubt there's any one of us here who doesn't have a mark or two - we are all ages, all sizes, races and nationalities just like our clients! If you were thinking it might be better to start an agency because it would be easier then trying to work yourself, please don't believe that for one minute - the stress of running an illegal operation alone would do for me, and trying to make your mark without annoying your competition, keep track of x number of punters and girls (plus all the usual admin stuff) when you've just had a baby sounds like a recipe for absolute disaster.

If you think you would like to work, you can do it independently - you don't need anyone to work for and most of us do all our arranging ourselves. Have a read through the main site for the basic information, and if it appeals you can bring your questions back here and we'll do our best to help  :).

Contrary to what the beauty industry tells you, given a woman willing to have sex with them, the number of men who care about stretch marks / cellulite / etc is minimal.

Those who do care have probably invested in a silicone sex doll, because that's about the only way they will ever find 'perfection'.

Is it best to go indie rather than join an agency then? It's really good to hear that there are lots of women in the industry who are all sorts of shapes and sizes and races!

Im going to get a PAYG phone and looking to set up a website, I know what I am willing to do and what I'm not willing to do and I will not feel pressured into changing that!

Any body have any tips on what to avoid when it comes to starting out?

Suzie, please read the whole of the main site (here), and then use the search forum on this forum (here) for any specific terms you might want to read more about. "Timewasters", "outcalls", "hotels", "period", "agency", "OWO" are just a few of the topics that have been discussed a-plenty. :)

If you have any further specific questions after that, just pop over to the Questions And Answers section and ask away!

I work in West Yorkshire and the best piece of advice I could give you is not to pile much if any money into an agency, Leeds and West Yorkshire has a very high number of escort agencies and indies just a quick search on Adultwork for Female Escorts in West Yorkshire brings up nearly 500 ladies.

Clients are very cynical of new agencies, some charge less to try and get a client base but then clients question if they are charging less because they aren't as good, some charge the same but clients again are cynical and will stick to tried and tested agencies for their hard earned.  I have seen so many girls that have either been escorts or clients that decide its a money earner set up a website get to the top of google advertise in all the right places and fold after a few months as clients are too wary of new agencies and talk amongst themselves on forums like us.

I personally can think of the names of at least 10 agencies set up in Leeds and West Yorkshire in the last 12-18 months that now are no longer functioning.  Good luck if you do decide to go for it but don't spend too much money as the fail rate is very high. One agency was paying ?600 a month plus bills for a flat and only took 2 bookings in 6 months it was that dire he rented me the apartment for work for ?10 p/h to try and cover some costs.  I know I sound cynical but I have considered my own agy but really dont seem the point somewhere thats already so over run with escorts.

Best thing to do is to go indie see how it goes, theres work out there but you need to test the water.  We all have marks, bumps and lumps  ;) but clients arent too bothered I used to think under the blurry faces were supermodels....imagine my suprise when the first girls I met looked normal!
