This year the classes/skill-sharing sessions are as follows, from the 30thrd October:

Swedish massage will run for 7/8 weeks, Wednesdays 11 till 1.

Marketing will run for 4 weeks, Wednesdays 2 till 4.

Website development will run for 6 weeks, Wednesdays 4 till 6.

The classes will run for up to 8 weeks. The location in London will be sent to you once you have enrolled. The classes are free, however you are asked to bring your own laptop for the website class and a towel for the massage class.

You are welcome to attend one or all of the classes, though we do recommend attending massage, marketing and website development from the beginning, as you'll have to try and catch up otherwise. You can also drop by for lunch to meet other sex workers. The programme will be as follows:

Please note that the classes are a sex worker only space.

SWOU isn't part of the UKNSWP, as far as I know - please do correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm not in a position to check atm. The Sex Work Project section is really for those offering health and support services as well as local Ugly Mugs and so on.

Every event or series of course previously offered, including the last Hands On one, has been posted (and Stickied, which I've also done) in this section and since people are more likely to look in here than SWP for the reasons posted above, it's more likely to be seen.

The other reason is that the people offering services in the SWP section are not themselves sex workers.

It's an 8 week course. You'll get more out of it if you can attend from week 1 or 2 but you can join in at any point, really.

The courses are 4, 6 and 8 weeks long, but you don't have to come to everything.

Week 2 is on Wednesday. We had a really good turn out, but we could fit one or two more people in if anyone is dying to come along.

Hands On Pro!, now in its second year, is a professional development and skill sharing project devised by the Sex Worker Open University and X:Talk, two sex workers? cooperatives based in London. The workshops offer a chance to gain (and share) skills and to meet other sex workers.
