Recommendation from me is Ella Studios. She is pricey but she is incredibly professional and a lovely person to work with. She gives you direction (perfect if you have no modelling experience), around 6 outfit changes during your shoot, and she will talk through options for the style of shoot you want first so you know you will be happy with the photos. Her studio is at very discreet location in central london. She will then give you 8 touched up photos within a few days of the shoot (if my memory serves me correctly, it has been a while since I last saw her, it might be 10 now but she can confirm I'm sure!) and although you can tell they have been tweaked a little, she does it in a way to make you look glam, glossy and absolutely bloody gorgeous! I would marry the woman if I could!!  ;D

Hi Carla, I have told Joanna in the past about Ella Studios but she said that is out of her price range at the time. Ella used to do a portfolio at ?350 now it has rised upto ?440 without make up and hair, but if you did want the makeup and hair it would cost you ?680 it is slightly more expensive now ! but her work is very good, the photos are beautiful! it depends if your willing to pay that price and how much money you have really. Escort exposure guy who does Bunnies of london photos charges ?330 at the moment, he did a beautiful portfolio for this girl at Max's Angels, the photos were really stunning. There is also another tog called Alex fanasi or something he charges ?950 for the whole day and that is very expensive ! photos are amazing but I think very overpriced! x

I know two lovely photographers who are both much cheaper than this. The guy that did my photos (look at my AW profile: Violet Rose) is great, but I'm not sure how much of this work he wants to do, as he's more of an art photographer. The other guy I know of, but haven't used, is supposedly also cheap and good. Get in touch if you'd like details. V x x

I did a shoot with a lovely girl in her apartment in Canary Wharf.  She's just starting out so not pricey but she was really lovely and I like the photos I  a lot.  They are lightly edited and look quite classy, not playboy glamour

PM me and I'll give you a link to my site so you can have a look at her work :)

Alternatively, if she has a website (and she should!) you could save everyone a bunch of typing and pop the address in this thread - links are fine as long as they aren't repetitive/spammy and have been specifically requested by a thread in this section. :)

yeah! I'd like to know too! I've just fallen out with the chap who did mine who I offered up earlier, and I haven't got round to contacting the other guy someone recommended me (although I know him in another guise). It always helps to have options. V x x

I just want someone professional so I don't have to stand around in my pants in a cold studio arguing with some idiot about copyright - Ella sounds great and I've been meaning to ask her if she's happy signing my 'tog contract but then I saw her price increase and ZOMG. That's kinda a week's post-tax earnings for a part-timer like me. I'm saving up but it's still a bit painful!

On the other hand, I'm really not into this amateur 'tog business because I just have no interest in being part of someone's soft porn collection; I know it's modern timez and all now but yeah, I still want to be the only one with rights to images of my body. And I don't want pictures taken by anyone who I don't feel quite right about (so contacting a random "I'm so helpful, I'll take your picture for you!" guy is not an option) - so if anyone has any concrete personal recommendations, please add words and links to this thread! :)

I've heard Joe's Glamour Studio been recommended before - must re-Google and investigate. Has anyone tried him?

Hi Emily, Joe is a good photographer, but also so is Barry at http://www.glamourphotographylondon.com he does amazing photos and they are in superb quality ! I think he charges ?250 pounds for a 1-2hrs shoot. Joe's site is currently under construction ! he does some quite good packages, it's whatever takes your fancy.

this is the girl I did a shoot with - but she doesn't have any of her boudoir work on her site -

A place I do *not* recommend is Gap Studios in Shepard's Bush.  Freezing studio and surly, uncommunicative photographer.  Lovely MUA though!

Barry I know! He did my current ones. ;) He's great value and yes, easy to work with but I'm a little worried about not having enough real variety in my galleries.

Will try getting in touch with Joe and that Sloane lady.

Hi guys, thankyou all for your replies  :)

I found Martin Levenson at www.levenson.co.uk/glamour.     Check out his gallery!

Hes only 250 for a 3-4 hour shoot (90 extra with hair & makeup).   His pics looks great so I might use him.

Joe's w/s is under construction but he has another one:  www.joesglamourstudio.com, has anyone used him before?

If that Joe King is the guy I know, going back 8 years, he was good to work with, and I was impressed with what he managed to do with me  :) And he has worked with some well known models in the past.

I got a recommendation for another guy - Alec Fasani (http://escortphotolondon.co.uk/) - who has a nice portfolio but is, again, really expensive. He seems to have quite a bit of experience, though. I might just save up a bit more and go with Ella - I've never experienced a shoot with a lady 'tog and if she's good at being really instructive about poses and stuff, that could be best for my non-photogenic self!

He is very expensive. Good quality photos say a 1,000 words and very good for business.

I have had a couple of sets done in London and here are my thoughts on my experiences:

Joes Glamour - the backgrounds were bizarre (black and white lino and a english coutry garden backdrop??!!), same poses and backgrounds for all girls, and the retouching was too much and I looked really fake! My shoot was in a tiny studio in a  basement flat in earls court.

Michael in Chelesea  - I think he is escort exposure but i had a different website for him which I have forgotten. Pictures and experience were overall better than Joe's. Big proper studio  in Chelsea and female makeup artist stayed so I felt comfortable, but poses/backgrounds are same for each girl pretty much.

Moto - 1moto.com - in East London studio. (area felt a bit dodgy, would get a cab to the address). My friend had them done here and quality, choice of backgrounds and props etc was about the same  as Michaels, and I think about the same price range.

Gary Silver - not in London but thought I might as well add it. My friend used him in Brighton but felt he missed the mark quite a bit and she wasn't keen on these photos, some london agencies didnt feel they were good enough as there was too much going on with props and not enough flesh.

The verdict from my friend and I - Alec Fasani or Ella for our next sets London is so competitive and  there is nothing worse than  wondering if we would be earning more from better photos!

Also, I found www.glamourlookphotography.co.uk      A female photographer, no experience myself but my friend has used her and recommends.

Ellas photos are lovely but yes very pricey , i had a set done ages ago probably a bit out of my budget now.

Friend of mine has a shoot on tuesday that sounds pretty good. Her female agent has arranged it for her because she has been messed around with photographers in the past (and I think is going to be there on the day to make sure she gets the shots she needs)
its a young photographer (male) who used to shoot for the adult channels and some fashion stuff, stylist, hair & make up all in some fancy Mayfair nightclub, think she is paying around ?450-?500

If anyone wants to see her photos PM me as she should have them back next week so I can send a link to her website xxx

I can recommend Michael (Escort Exposure), the make-up artist stayed throughout the shoot and touched up as necessary. I had at least 6 outfit changes and got a cd and print out of every shot he took to take home at the end of the session (half day I think). The airbrushed versions were up on agency site pretty quickly and while they were very sexy they weren't too over the top glam.
I'd love to have some photos done by Ella. I think I've read on the Guild of Harlots that she doesn't let you choose which pics to airbrush any more. Does anyone know if that's true (it's possible my memory's playing tricks on me), although looking at the photos on her  new site  I'd be quite prepared to trust her. Definitely worth saving up for.

Sorry Amy, I asked for this thread to be an open one for discussing 'togs back at the beginning; group PMs get so spammy and I think a few of us just needed some reviews cos there's unfortunately no way of telling from a 'tog's site whether he or she is nice to work with, or is a total perv who's a menace with the airbrush.

Once this thread has aged a little, I can go through and remove any names given, along with posting an explanation for anyone who stumbles upon it in a year or decade's time (recommendations can get out-of-date so quickly and that can be extra-annoying in our biz).

I think it should go without saying that no one should take advice from the Internet (even glorious SAAFE ;)) without thinking it over for themselves first. So both positive and negative reviews should be taken with equally large pinches of salt - to anyone who's reading this looking for new photos done. Taking a lovely, patient friend along is always a good idea if you're worried that the 'tog might be pushy or pervy.

No need to remove photographer's names. We don't have any policy against that. I think Amy was actually talking about agencies, but I don't see the name-dropping. Possibly in CeCe's post before she edited it?

Yeah it was, sorry. A couple of agencies had been mentioned in previous posts and I wasn't thinking. Hopefully all's amended now. :-[

Yes, that's exactly what I meant although as Anika says I can see why the post doesn't make a lot of sense now. The thread is about photographers and whether they're any good, and whilst there's nothing wrong with swapping details by PM if you think that someone having worked for Pimp #3 rather than Pimp #4 lends them credibility of some kind (rather than just posting links to their photography sites) that's fine, but we don't need to read actual names on here as giving the agencies some free publicity/kudos that isn't what the thread is about.

At no point in my post do I appear to have misspelt 'agencies' as 'photographers', so why anyone would think I was asking them to remove photographers names is going to have to remain a mystery. Thanks for clearing it up CeCe (and if anybody is going to write about a photographer being a sleazy, overpriced lech with BO, or whatever, I do suggest you keep that to PM too ;D).

Back to photographers then. I had my first ever professional shoot with Alec Fansani although I didn't pay anyway near ?900. The photos were amazing and the make-up artist made me look incredible, nothing like I've ever looked before or since. Interestingly I never got a single job from those photos, although that may have been because they were in a gallery full of equally amazing photos of really stunning girls. And who knows if I was even faintly promoted.

Alright, alright! I literally didn't see the word "agency" in your post, is all, 'specially as CeCe had edited hers before I noticed any agency names in there, too. No worries then.

In the rather clearer light of 10am, anyway, I think I'm going to take my own advice and just share a photoshoot with someone who is also grumpy and stingy. ;D That way, I'll have some backup for any potential NO MORE AIRBRUSHING arguments, potential additional help with posing so that I don't look like a colossal thigh monster, and I don't even need the 'tog to do anything beside take pretty pictures anyway since I can airbrush stuff myself.

So, yeah - anyone who might fancy splitting the cost of maybe a day-rate hotel room (if needed) and a photographer here in London, send me a PM! Oh - I'll definitely need a make-up artist since I never even use liquid foundation on myself, let alone to a studio finish level. You can have all the tog's airbrushing work that's included in the shoot, though, cos I'll just do mine at home.

i am always on look out for proper photographers, and couldnt believe my eyes when i saw this guy had an ad on adultwork...not sure if its still there tho, but his website is:   http://www.pauls-studio.co.uk/

this guy is a professional photographer, been published in photographers mags and everything, he is the real deal....he has lots of models on his site, all gorgeous....anyway, i went to see him where he lives and has his studio, and i said i wanted make up and he provided a professional to come in and i paid her ?50 i think for that...his charge was really reasonable, somewhere in region of ?250 or less ....and he gives a cd of all the pics taken which are in region of hundreds, i brought many costume changes and that was all fine. i heartily recommend him.  He also does touch ups of photos  if required.

I had a shoot yesterday with Ella and have nothing but good things to say about her.  She fit me into her schedule within a week, and let me come round to her place first to chat about the shoot prior to going ahead.  She was also extremely discreet and didn't ask questions, very experienced, professional and respectful.  I was a total mess on the day of the shoot  but she managed to get good results out of me despite the fact I was in such a state I couldn't even finish the shoot with my final outfit!

I went for the ?350 shoot and was at her place for a good 3 hours.  She listens to what you want from your shoot and knows which poses look good and doesn't take too many shots - I've walked away from some shoots with 100s of photos (most of which are useless) to whittle down to the final shots, but from Ella I got 80 to cut down to 8 for retouching - she does let you chose which you want.

I like the look of Ella Studios - some very high quality work there which definitely has a more editorial feel. It would be good to see some of her boudoir work to see if she makes any allowances for the requirements to appear more 'real'?

The shots she took for me are very natural. I told her I didn't want to look like a cheesy technicolour oiled-up glamour girl, and I don't - most of my shots are pretty soft and monochrome.

She has also just yesterday moved to a new studio in Vauxhall, which has an outside deck as well

I know this thread is a bit old now, but I just wanted yo say that I had photos done with Ella yesterday. I paid ?350 for the basic  package which  was 2.5 hrs and includes 8 pics retouched, and I am so pleased with them. Even without the retouching they look really good and I am so excited to see the finished result!

This was my first shoot with a female photographer and I really recommend it. Usually I am a bit wooden for the first 45 minutes or  so and I  only get good shots when I have started to loosen up a bit, by which point it's nearly over, but on this shoot I felt totally relaxed from the start so it was  worth every penny for me!

It doesn't include hair and makeup, but I did my own for the first time on a shoot but  I preferred to do this as  I am a bit fussy anyway.

Also, for  girls  on a budget who want to add a bit more variety or just starting out I noticed  she is doing a ?250 'top up' shoot with 5 retouched images included.

Anyway, all in all, it was my best shoot by a long way!  :)

First off I'll start by saying I'm not photogenic!  Clients are always surprised when they see me in real life as I somehow never look like my photos, so I need a photographer who is good with photoshop.

Secondly I'm not comfortable in front of a camera, ever!  So I need a photographer who will do his best to make me feel at ease.

Somehow I am struggling to find a photographer who fulfils both of those requirements without costing the earth.

Help please?

Failing that, does anyone know where I can pay to get raunchy photo's photoshopped?

Definitely, although you may wish you'd gone for a bigger package if you have the funds. I had the basic shoot with Ella last week, and have never been so delighted with images in my all life. I never even dreamt it possible to love photos so much, least of all of myself! I literally want a top up shoot asap and an extended one in a couple of months (although I will manage to control myself, just).

Ella, in my opinion, really is amazing. I could use almost every single snap she took (approx 80) if I wanted. The 8 she edited are outstanding. Actually I'm going to ask her to edit a couple more.

I'd be amazed if you weren't totally thrilled with the results if you decide to go for it.

I?m not sure if I should be posting this under this section or under the Q&A section...
I was booked in for a photo shoot next week which I just had to cancel due to let?s say a ?breakdown in communication? with the photographer.
I?d primarily like to get recommendations from the ladies on this site about any good/outstanding photographers they?ve used.
If you?re a photographer reading this please feel to PM me but I would prefer to book someone on recommendation. Sorry to be blunt but if you?re an amateur with little or no experience, thanks but no thanks. I had a quick search of previous threads relating to this but some of them must be dated as the couple of people I called/emailed, I could not get hold of.
Things you need to know: I?m based in London and looking for a studio shoot or on location (hotel, booked by me). I?d like a professional, experienced person purely because I want some really nice professional photos. Finally for any of you that have read any of my previous posts you will know I am tight cow lol so please only recommend photographers with good/realistic charges.
Please feel free to post any recommendations on here or if you prefer, PM me.
Thank you as always. x

Hi Amy, yes I did. The threads I had a look at seemed a bit dated...I only found ones dated for late 2011 and tried to contact a few names mentioned in them, so thought I would post to see if any ladies had any newer recommendations.

I know a guy who works in Angel from a private studio. He is totally professional and takes very classy photographs. He's also very reasonably priced, there's no rush and he has loads of sets to work with. I was really nervous getting my kit off in front of the camera for my escort photographs, but he really put me at ease- total gent! This is his website - tell him that Rose sent you... http://www.levenson.co.uk/glamour/main.php
Completely agree, he's great!
Seconded. I shot with him yesterday.
Great makeup by artist Alysia then a fun shoot.
Both total professionals.

I found Martin Levenson at www.levenson.co.uk/glamour.     Check out his gallery!
Hes only 250 for a 3-4 hour shoot (90 extra with hair & makeup).   His pics looks great so I might use him.
Martin and his makeup artist Alysia (http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=8739.msg73389#msg73389) are very good. I shot yesterday, details on link.

I got to know Alec, and he is indeed, extremely good in what he's doing. Very busy and hardly available though; however highly recommended.

Another photographer, i could fairly recommend is Matt Christie @ www.mattchristie.com - very friendly and professional guy, amazing quality and perfect finish.

For more 'glamour, girlie', less 'slutty' photos go to http://www.image1st.co.uk/ - Motiejus (I might have misspelled) does his job well.

I'm also having a shoot with Michael @ www.escortexposure.com on the 10th of May, will definitely report the results :)

Hello girls.
I am new to the forum, though it's good to start with something helpful :).
I had a shot taken with Matt Christie (mentioned above) on Thursday. Here's my feedback.
Extremely genuine and friendly gentleman, good vibes and inviting location in East London. He provided me with everything I wanted and made me feel at ease. We started at 8 AM, which was my request, I was welcomed by a great cup of coffee and and a photographer who really knew what he was doing. A few outfit changes, cheering conversations all the way and loads of great fun. Business and pleasure - best of both worlds.
www.mattchristie.com - Highly recommended in my honest opinion!!

Hello Girls ,

I need a photoshoot done soon(would be the 1st one) , reading the various comments I would go for ELLA Studios but doing research on google I found this post about her :

Now I am confuse!

After a couple of weeks looking for glamour photographers , I choose to go for matt christie

http://www.mattchristie.com

I am very happy , was my first glamour shoot and I was nervous. Matt and the make up was really lovely and professional , they both adapted their works according to my wishes and it was no rush at all. I received all pics straight away after the shoot , made a selection of 8 to edit and he send it to me within a week. I strongly recommend him. X

Hi,

just thought I would add my recommendation for Alan Thomas at http://www.atglamourlondon.co.uk

I've just done my second shoot with him and I'm (again) thrilled with the results.  As an extreme BBW who's not in the first flush of youth he understands my concerns and worked with me to make me feel comfortable and to get the best pictures. He's endlessly patient, open to all suggestions and great fun.

Even better was that I had access to all my images in internet ready format just 3 hours after leaving the Studio! I had the first one up on my site and bringing in comments from people who read my Blog before I'd even taken my make-up off!

Hope that helps someone :)

Hi Angela,

This girl is very good and make affordable portfolios for escort girls.
For the price ?250 you get full portfolio and good quality work. Many photographers in London charge on average 500 for good photos so this girl is very reasonable.

Her website is www.glamourshoots.co.uk

Excuse me i know its an older thread I need some recommendations.

I have read the whole thread and some information is outdated so I would like some recommendations which is current.
I am planning to have a photoshoot in the beginning of november, in London or near London.
I had a set done with Ella (for ?580) the pictures are really nice but she was very impersonal i felt no connection with her I told her its my first shoot ever i dont know how it is going but she didnt explain anything and when i got there i had no choice where and how and what kind of photos i want, simply she didnt ask anything i had zero contact with her and i didnt even left when the next girl arrived and i just felt im a noisance like im the 10th girl that day so i wont return. make-up artist was from Lithuania very good I forgot her name unfornutately and she did my hair as well.

this time i would like someone with whom i can discuss how and where eg. bathroom, bedroom and what my options are. i am willing to pay the same price as for Ella but for that money i would like attention (and same high quality photos).

Alan is amazing http://www.atglamourlondon.co.uk/

I recently had my second shoot with him, and now won't go anywhere else. I've done both a studio and location shoot with him. He is so friendly and easy going, and really listens to what you want. The makeup artist he works with is lovely too. I'm happy to send my website address via PM if anyone would like a butchers x

She has some lovely work on the web...hasn't she?
I found her lazy and rude.
And her customer aftercare is poor.
I spent 350 pounds and was badly let down by Ella.

Her photoshopping was appalling! :-\
I sat down and correcting the ones she 'corrected'.
I use photoshop myself professionally.
Errr... didn't I just hand her 350 pounds? ???

Unprofessional, unhelpful..seemed to loose interest.

Omg Cheesypeas
I did my first professional shoot with Ella some time ago and she would not let me chose the photos I wanted, She successfully made me look like a bloke with her photoshopping ::) She sure is rude. I went and got them done elsewhere with the same outfits....Waste of money and  time.

Phew...Laila..I wondered if it was just me!
Sorry you had that rough ride too.
I agree.

She also insisted on taking black lingerie
on a black background against my wishes....
which looked like a head floating about in a dark room.
A toddler with wax crayons could figure that wouldn't work.

I can recommend Alan as well, lovely guy, and most important - he listens what you want. He helped me to pick up right outfits; make up artist working with him was also great. Actually the photos he made for me were so good I could leave them without any retouching and definitely I'm NOT size 6 model look  ;) Money very well spend!

I'll check out some of the ones mentioned.

I had a couple photoshoots, in the past: one with alec fasani (3 years ago) and with matt christie (2 years ago).
I hated every minute of photoshoot with alec. At that time I was a total newbie, wannabe escort and I was very naive and not assertive at all.. He made me feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable: he was touching me (!!!) during the photoshoot. He wasnt helpful with the posing at all, and the all raw images were just terrible. It was almost no single image to pick for retouching.. Finally I picked a couple and the retouching on it was so heavy that i couldn't recognize myself.. At that time I was sort of thinking that this is the norm and i have to accept this.. Very unpleasant experience with not nice photographer..
Matt Christie in contrary was lovely, his pictures however were not. He didnt listen what i wanted and in effect I had a bunch of images with awkward and uncomfortable posing were my facial expression was if I were tortured.. I know however a couple of wg who vouched for matt.. So maybe i am just THAT un-photogenic  ::)
From both very expensive photoshoots I could use maybe 2 or 3 images..

Two times I had a photoshoot with a female photographer Stormy and I can truly recommend her.. She produces beautiful sensual images, and she is amazing with making you feel good and comfortable.. She also gives you advise on how to pose, and what to wear, so even me the most inflexible and stiff person ever, look like a sexy classy minx..
For every next photoshoot I will always use her, thats for sure..

I think it's finding the right chemistry. I've heard good and bad things about most of the photographers mentioned.

I've shot with Alec, Matt and Ella. I think with all of them the main thing is being assertive about what you want. Know their rooms and furniture and pick an outfit for what you want in/on each. collect pictures of poses and bring them along and email them beforehand so they can get the right set ups.
Whenever I have not been organised the result has been disastrous

My main issue is always with the make up artists, I am very good at doing my own but whenever anyone else does mine I look 20 years older and corpse like.

I would love to shoot with illona and maybe Alan next but illona is not taking on anyone new apparently.

Couldn't agree more, it is the case of the right chemistry between the photographer and the model, but also very important is to know their studios, the rooms set up, the furniture.. It is very recommended to try the posing too in your own bedroom before the shot, to see how your body look like.. And very clearly communicate to them what you want. And being assertive..

I have to agree with this entirely.
Fantastic locations but her attitude was not for me and the makeup and styling was terrible.
I felt rather rushed, manhandled into generic positions which may have been typical of glamour and boudoir but didn't compliment me individually.
The lighting was great but that was about it for the shots, retouched or not. Photoshopped ones were worse due to extremely obvious photoshopping (wonky edges next to body parts, etc!) retouching.

David at Courtesan Photography is reasonably priced and I found him very easy and pleasant to work with, a nice consultative approach throughout the shoot. The photos were great and his retouching is minimal and genuinely enhances the images.

He's got a thread here http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=23320.msg169084

If you can come to London I recommend Michael of http://www.escortexposure.com/ (http://www.escortexposure.com/)

Personally I hate being photographed but when needs must..On the day he tool about 250 photos, he has a studio over 4 floors with all sorts of backgrounds and some outside space. Really put me at ease and had some amazing photos as a result! He gave the disk with photos straight afterwards and retouched photos (of my choosing) were sent within 2 days. Really professional and knows his stuff! At the time he did photos for some very big agencies and also worked with famous pornstars and well known escorts. Cant recommend highly enough!

No offer to complete the project.

I only use selfies now and clients like them fine.

That's pretty misleading because ALL the images in his website are full blown photoshopped. Usually photographers I've used will give me all the images, then I choose my favourite 5 and they they will retouch them as part of the package. Someone who handles you 50 raw files and tell you "you are who you are" sounds greedy and unprofessional.

Don't use escortexposure
I have had a shoot with this guy and it was dire. Catalogue poses and he is very bossy...tells u how to pose doesnt let u do your own ideas and wont let you choose backgrounds, as i think he cant be arsed to take his lighting etc p the stairs on the other floors. He says things like think of his German sausage when hes shooting. Bad experience and really disappointing photos that were all wooden and badly photoshopped.

I have just had a shoot  and it was brilliant, very professional and easy to work with

I've always stayed away from the big london photographer  as I thought they might be a bit intimidating but  a friend had a shoot with him recently and said he was awesome and really loved her images so I thought I would try

I hate posing & hate having my photos taken full stop always takes me hours to losen up and I'm crap at taking directions and I'm as stiff as Aunt Sally but he is brilliant and had the patience of a bloody saint

Some of the images I got are usable with no retouching ( IMO) very impressed

Glad it went well Paris  :D. He's the best. I've just booked my next (number six now I think) shoot with him for next month at location 2. If anyone else is interested in coming along too then we get a discount if more than one book. I wouldn't need to hang around, so you wouldn't have me lurking during your shoot. I've shot at location 2 before. It's stunning, and has plenty of different scenes for a good variety of shots. I've booked in for Mon 21st Sept.

Yes I agree He is great and has the patience of a bloody saint  ive always avoided the big london glamour photographers not because of price as my shoots at home cost similar by the time I've added the hotel room but I think because I would feel intimidated-  no idea why maybe a  lack of confidence
But I felt very relaxed despite being absolute crap at posing and following instructions

I too did not have a not so nice experience with Ella, Did not use her photos and went and did it all again 2 weeks later with another photographer, I personally did not like her attitude, make up, and editing made me look like a transvestite.

Hiya,

I needed some new photos and had troubles with my last photographer. So I'm looking for a new one.

I've been going through the above list and a lot of these togs are no longer active, others are pretty expensive and the rest I'm not happy with the style (too airbrushed barbie doll boudoir photos which I don't do as it's not my style).

Could anyone reccomend me a photographer in London and sorrounding areas?

Could we have some more togs added to the list? ;D ;D ;D

Thanks soooooo much.

xoxo

I have used Michael at Escort a Exposure for years.   I always found him to be excellent, I love the way he gets all your outfits out and knows instinctively which outfit fits where.    ive had 3 shoots with him now and to be honest I wouldn't go anywhere else.     His pictures never fail to earn me money.    I did prefer his old makeup artist Francesca but the new one is good but I don't think as good as Francesca.   I love his new studios and the glass floor and can highly recommend him.

I wouldn't go to Ella although a lot of my friends speak highly of her because I think her pictures are too heavily airbrushed and she has a reputation of being dismissive and not listening to you.   If Michael wasn't around I think I'd try Alec Fascini, I do like his work.

Retouching isn't OTT like Ella Studios (I have also used her) and he makes you feel comfortable

Just to add to other peoples experiences. People I have shot with and my thoughts. I am a size 12 black female at 5'5.

Ella Studios - a few years back when she was based in Victoria. There were other people shooting on property and that made me v uncomfortable. I found she got easily frustrated with me because I couldn't do certain model poses, not willing to listen to what I wanted and ultimately my photos were airbrushed to the point I looked like I was disney CGI. I got to choose the photos I liked and got a CD of images (I think she now chooses for you).

Martin Levenson - Really nice guy who had good ideas and patience. Photos were good for the most part and he didn't whiten out my skin tone. Shot in his studio which was fine but I should have gone location as the backgrounds are a bit over done. His airbrushing was good but heavy at times. I made good money using these photos though and he was a total gent. I didn't recieve all images though.

Alec Fasani- This is a hard one. I paid over ?1000 for this shoot so I think my expectations were higher than others. My photos ultimately came out gorgeous but I think a lot of that was due to the stunning location I shelled out for. His make up artist at the time (18 months ago) was amazing and touched your make up up between shots. I feel he dismissed some of my ideas which upset me and he didn't seem to initially know how to shoot my body. But once he realised he wasn't getting good images he listened and I got great photos. I took nearly a month to get my photos back which wasn't cool but apparently it was due to a mess up. I would have appreciated a gesture like an extra photo or two hut ho hum. I got copies (low res) of all my photos the same day.

Matt Christie - Really cool guy. I shot back when he was using his home studio. My photos from him were average. The airbrushing wasn't too heavy but it was a bit shoddy. He was great at posing me though and made a real effort in using the space and working with my outfits. I think he isn't great for people of colour but I've seen some great work from others. I didn't receive all images just chosen ones.

I'm considering Alex Thomas as he has great reviews. Also escort exposure and a new female photographer nadia rose http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=33228 (http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=33228) . She seems to have great rates and all photos I've seen have been good. I think I will try to get her on location though not in a hotel room.

My last shoot I flew to Budapest for as I was sick of UK photographers. I found a great guy who I paid around ?250 for 18 images. The raw ones were my favourite ever. His airbrushing could do with work though. He really put in so much effort into the shoot and was amazing to deal with.

I had some pictures done with Michael at escort exposure.. they were of a good standard and there were lots to choose from.  He is an amusing character which made the shoot really fun  :)

I will be going back when I need some updated pictures.

Does anyone have any feedback.

Do they photograph escorts.

Thanks

I had some fantastic pics taken in Los Angeles, where I live. They were not the usual escort style but more high end magazine. The photographer was from London and was shooting a  famous actress there. I know the makeup artist they used and he did them as a favor. His name is Alan Strutt, if you Google him you can see pictures and his contact details.

I worked with Kate Sharp and she is escort-friendly and professional. However, her studio's not in London.

Hey girls,

I worked with Alan Thomas until now  and I just love him. So friendly & professional. His photos are just perfect for AdultWork. However, I am willing to try somebody else who is more on the high-class side. I was thinking about Alec Fasani. I want to use these new photos for agency only & I really need some perfect ones. Any ideas who I should try?
Price is not important as long as it won't be more than ?1500.
Please help me as I am stuck.

P.S. Heard about one named "Ilona" as being a good photographer but can't find her anywhere  ???

I would recommend Nadia Rose, I think she's mentioned earlier in this thread. Her pics are very very high class and elegant, plus she's lovely to work with. If you google you'll find her site with some examples in her portfolio.

Hey VC,

Her photos are very artistic indeed, but definitely not what I am looking for. I am looking for something more up-market, if this is the right word to define it. Something more like Fasani's photos.

Thank you x

I've just had some shots done by Mikaela Morgan, Boudoir Photographer near Tring in Heartfordshire. Really happy with the result and thought I'd share. Escort friendly, and knows how to pose me (I'm hopeless without direction). I'm much less wooden with a female photographer than a male.

I took the train, and she picked me up at Tring Station, then a short drive to the studio, and she drove me back. Contact her for her (reasonable) fees - I now get a "repeater" discount. She had the retouched images back to me within 24 hours.

I second the vote for Nadia Rose. Contrary to what someone else said her photos are indeed natural yet classy and elegant, as Voluptuous said above.  She is friendly, helpful and great with advice about posing if you are unsure.

I've had many compliments on the pictures she took for me which really emphasise exactly what I want on my website - the simplicity of elegance.

Hello divas !

I would like to recommend a photographer I used recently for my photo-shoot. He is very talented and charges a fair price.

http://www.samjacksonphoto.com/

You can see some of the photos on my main gallery by clicking the link below and others are doted around my website

[removed - this isn't an advertising site; please don't post links to your ads here]

If you contact him, can you let him know he was recommended by me. I don't get anything for it but it'll be nice that he knows. :-)

Hello. I can recommend 250 shoot for 3h. I worked with this photographer in London but I think he can also come in Essex if you need.
Makeup and hair is on your own. Location too. But I took nice [apartment] and also saw 3 clients after that so I got my money back :)

He has his profile on aw as photographer. Write me for the link.

I have done a search and see lots of photographers offering their services however i am keen to get some recommendations from anyone who has used a photographer in London.  Im happy to travel.  Looking for someone who can make me look fab but also doesn't charge the earth.

How long did your session take and did they give you all the photos?  Whats the format for buying the individual photos?  Did they make you feel comfortable?

Any help will be appreciated.

Could anyone recommend a good photographer who they have worked with in the last few months who does not use lots of photoshop and can take good pictures without having to edit them to death, in London or just outside, with a website with plenty of examples of their work.

I am looking for pictures that are more fashion style than glamour magazine type.  I have looked through this thread, and all the ones I like the look of no longer seem to have websites up, or are based in the wrong end of the country.  When I google all I get are studios that go for the photoshop look.

If you go with Nadia Rose or Alan Thomas, you'll have access to all of the photographs taken on the day, so you can do your own (or no) edits, as well as the ones you might choose to be edited. You can also state what edits you want, so if it's just "please airbrush that bruise out" then that will be fine.

With both the above photographers I had over 300 unedited photos to keep.

I know it's not the last few months but I worked with Alan Dec 2017 and Nadia Jun 2016.

Alan is very good at escort photography so if you want more of a fashion type feel maybe give Nadia a try? That said, I'm sure Alan would have been happy for me to keep all my clothes on and just arrange me in various positions!

If you don't want to pay you could also try PurplePort.

I had the most unprofessional, unpleasant service from Martin Levenson.
He delivered a set of extremely poor images, which is strange as his website looks amazing.

When I politely mentioned it he 'punished' me by refusing to photoshop any images.
I paid £250 for the full package which included photoshop.
He was rude, condescending, and made offensive personal remarks.
I regret not taking him to the small claims court.
I can not reccomend him.

I think he has a low opinion of SWs, and tolerates us between his 'respectable' corporate clients.

I found it very strange that he'd work with sex workers, whilst advertising prominent public figures in his galleries.

This isn't a judgemental opinion, just started to think it doesn't quite add up.

I used Ruan Van Der Sande a few days ago. £500 for studio shoot with 7edited pics, 4 outfit changes and makeup and hair +£100 (I didn’t use). He is very nice and made me feel comfortable, as I told him I hadn’t done a shoot before and needed help posing etc. I’m yet to receive my edited pics but looking at the unedited ones I think they look really good already! :D I chose him because I don’t want to look over edited and nothing like myself. Studio is in Bermondsey.

I had a photoshoot with RVDS in November and the pictures turned out lovely, its a all white background for all pics, unless you book a hotel room etc..

The total duration wasn't long though. Id say it took around 1.30h . 7 pics edited pics but he sent me more than 100 to chose from.

Does anyone know decent, tasteful and trustworthy photographers in London? I'm looking for a photographer whose work would look more fashion/lifestyle/lingerie than porn-like - no judgement here though! :) I'd crop out my face.

Would prefer it to be a woman as I trust them more ;D but open to any suggestions ! Budget ideally £200 or less, but I don't know what to expect for these kind of shoots.

Please do not use Alec Fasani - I paid through the nose twice with him one time I traveled with a friend to ibiza none of the photos were used by my agencies because they said that they looked too fake and unbelievable also for my friend who is 24 years old and stunning. avoid mike cohen give no direction and a mean money minded monster and as for Ilona for get it way too pricy and her work has that same same look about it all the time you can see her pics all over the place over edited and a waster of time additionally she is mean too

Agreed. Heard way to many stories about Alec - him being creepy, harraser, also presenting with very bad quality pictures.

Jesus so disrespectful... not necessarily, if a photographer has never worked with dark skin tones, he/she may not know how to play with background colours to make someone’s skin stand out and/or blend.

Absolutely. As a black female myself this is the main reason I thoroughly look through their gallery and see how many ebony black ladies the photographer has worked with. If the style lighting is great then I go ahead with the photographer.

I had a shoot with RVDS today and would recommend if you're looking for a polished shoot!  I've had so many photoshoots and the issue is the editing, finding someone who doesn't over edit and also one who doesn't under edit/only uses a smoothing filter and doesn't remove armpit bulges or twisted lingerie straps! Anyway he was great to shoot with and has lots of posing ideas and showed me the shots as we went along. I was a little worried about having a studio shoot as I'm not stick thin but I'm so happy with the raws he sent!  I was really comfortable and he was completely professional, no perverted comments (which has happened with previous photographers) and just want to recommend for anyone looking for a photographer. His website is https://www.ruanvandersande.com/

I recently had a shoot with Hédoniste London and am super happy with the results! She was very helpful with finding a location, advice with colours/outfits and then put me into poses that enhance my curves (something I struggled with other photographers who only shoot super thin girls that look good in anything). She is also in the SW community, so knows what to look out for and gave me some really helpful advice! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for someone who has experience in all body shapes and skin tones. I found her through her Twitter but she also has a website and the pricing is very affordable xx

I agree with Lilli Alan is best. Fassani not friendly and very fake photoshop. Mike Capture is ok but not great either.

Avoid mick capture. Heard awful things about him boundary pushing and being inappropriate before and after the shoot.

Alec fasani has multiple sexual allegations against him AVOID!!!!!!!

I hated my raw photos from Alan. I can recommend Tiger Rice, Studio Medusa and Lust for Life

Old-timer here after some years break wanting new full body photos done. I want them to show but for my own benefit too because i want to enjoy them to remind me of my beauty on low days (post pandemic been feeling a little less confident).
I ask after a substantial attempt at finding a post here recommending anybody on the forum this year, and the search not bringing anything recent. I want London or environs based (up to an hour outside London). Want somebody talented at realistic post-shoot editing (not altered but edited in a flattering way if you know what I mean ie shadows or lighting 😉).
Who has used somebody talented recently?
Thanks

Lovely recommendations everyone. Is anyone aware of any photographer that specialise in fetish and has amazing retouching skills?
It's not that I want to alter my body shape (I'm currently fit) but I need to have my tattoos removed on pictures to stay anon. There's no point covering the face if my tattoos will give me away, at the moment I have pics where I'm contorting to catch angles where they won't show and wearing outfits to hide them.
