Glad it went well Paris  :D. He's the best. I've just booked my next (number six now I think) shoot with him for next month at location 2. If anyone else is interested in coming along too then we get a discount if more than one book. I wouldn't need to hang around, so you wouldn't have me lurking during your shoot. I've shot at location 2 before. It's stunning, and has plenty of different scenes for a good variety of shots. I've booked in for Mon 21st Sept.

Yes I agree He is great and has the patience of a bloody saint  ive always avoided the big london glamour photographers not because of price as my shoots at home cost similar by the time I've added the hotel room but I think because I would feel intimidated-  no idea why maybe a  lack of confidence
But I felt very relaxed despite being absolute crap at posing and following instructions

Hi please what photographer did you use? I have used Ella before, just like you, I couldn't use the photos after paying so much so I'm now currently looking for another photographer.

I too did not have a not so nice experience with Ella, Did not use her photos and went and did it all again 2 weeks later with another photographer, I personally did not like her attitude, make up, and editing made me look like a transvestite.

Hiya,

I needed some new photos and had troubles with my last photographer. So I'm looking for a new one.

I've been going through the above list and a lot of these togs are no longer active, others are pretty expensive and the rest I'm not happy with the style (too airbrushed barbie doll boudoir photos which I don't do as it's not my style).

Could anyone reccomend me a photographer in London and sorrounding areas?

Could we have some more togs added to the list? ;D ;D ;D

Thanks soooooo much.

xoxo

I have used Michael at Escort a Exposure for years.   I always found him to be excellent, I love the way he gets all your outfits out and knows instinctively which outfit fits where.    ive had 3 shoots with him now and to be honest I wouldn't go anywhere else.     His pictures never fail to earn me money.    I did prefer his old makeup artist Francesca but the new one is good but I don't think as good as Francesca.   I love his new studios and the glass floor and can highly recommend him.

I wouldn't go to Ella although a lot of my friends speak highly of her because I think her pictures are too heavily airbrushed and she has a reputation of being dismissive and not listening to you.   If Michael wasn't around I think I'd try Alec Fascini, I do like his work.

Would love to know if any good photographers send ALL originals as well as retouched images?
Originals that I can keep & edit myself in the future, so good resolution is preferable

David at Perfectly Boudoir (formerly Courtesan Photography)
Sends hi-res watermarked (in the corner) originals for you to select your retouched shots from
Retouching isn't OTT like Ella Studios (I have also used her) and he makes you feel comfortable

Just to add to other peoples experiences. People I have shot with and my thoughts. I am a size 12 black female at 5'5.

Ella Studios - a few years back when she was based in Victoria. There were other people shooting on property and that made me v uncomfortable. I found she got easily frustrated with me because I couldn't do certain model poses, not willing to listen to what I wanted and ultimately my photos were airbrushed to the point I looked like I was disney CGI. I got to choose the photos I liked and got a CD of images (I think she now chooses for you).

Martin Levenson - Really nice guy who had good ideas and patience. Photos were good for the most part and he didn't whiten out my skin tone. Shot in his studio which was fine but I should have gone location as the backgrounds are a bit over done. His airbrushing was good but heavy at times. I made good money using these photos though and he was a total gent. I didn't recieve all images though.

Alec Fasani- This is a hard one. I paid over ?1000 for this shoot so I think my expectations were higher than others. My photos ultimately came out gorgeous but I think a lot of that was due to the stunning location I shelled out for. His make up artist at the time (18 months ago) was amazing and touched your make up up between shots. I feel he dismissed some of my ideas which upset me and he didn't seem to initially know how to shoot my body. But once he realised he wasn't getting good images he listened and I got great photos. I took nearly a month to get my photos back which wasn't cool but apparently it was due to a mess up. I would have appreciated a gesture like an extra photo or two hut ho hum. I got copies (low res) of all my photos the same day.

Matt Christie - Really cool guy. I shot back when he was using his home studio. My photos from him were average. The airbrushing wasn't too heavy but it was a bit shoddy. He was great at posing me though and made a real effort in using the space and working with my outfits. I think he isn't great for people of colour but I've seen some great work from others. I didn't receive all images just chosen ones.

I'm considering Alex Thomas as he has great reviews. Also escort exposure and a new female photographer nadia rose http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=33228 . She seems to have great rates and all photos I've seen have been good. I think I will try to get her on location though not in a hotel room.

My last shoot I flew to Budapest for as I was sick of UK photographers. I found a great guy who I paid around ?250 for 18 images. The raw ones were my favourite ever. His airbrushing could do with work though. He really put in so much effort into the shoot and was amazing to deal with.

I had some pictures done with Michael at escort exposure.. they were of a good standard and there were lots to choose from.  He is an amusing character which made the shoot really fun  :)

I will be going back when I need some updated pictures.
