Bed bugs from working from home
« on: 02 August 2024, 09:24:45 pm »
Im wondering if any girls who work from home and have clients visit them have had this issue?

I wfh and only have a 1bed apartment so just change the bedding after my last client but i discovered a couple days ago i have bed bugs. I feel so traumatised! I never wanted to work from hotels but i think this may be my only option now

It must have been from a client. It is best to fumigate the whole home. They can be very transmissible. You need to get the specialists in ideally.

Yeah i spotted a bug on thurs night and had the pest control company in the next day to do a chemical treatment. It seems like a mild case as there are no other signs on my matress so i think i have caught it early. Its extremely emotionally distressing and I dont know if i can continue to work/live in the same place anymore. I already pay 2k for this apartment but looks like ill need to pay for another room elsewhere for me to actually live and keep this as a workplace :(

Understandably you're upset but I wouldn't think changing where you work would make much of a difference as you can still end up taking them home anyway.  As if the same person that brought them to your home saw you in a hotel you then take them home if that makes sense.  It's swings and roundabouts.

Contrary to popular belief bed bugs are unrelated to hygiene issues. They are on the increase these days for some reason.

Just one of those things. At least gone now.
