Chauffeur drivers/escorts
« on: 13 October 2008, 10:18:09 pm »
Firstly i apologise if this is the incorrect place to post this, I have set a site up www.chauffeur-knights.co.uk for anyone to register there FREE of charge, I am hoping to build a database up of drivers for escorts to use all over the country, and also (fingers crossed) to get male/female clients aswell. please feel free to look and if you want to register aswell. It is in the very early stages so i apologise for that, as soon as i get more time i will update it. Again i am sorry if this is the wrong place.

I had thought advertising myself as a driver a while ago so i hope this goes well for you.  i would have registered as a driver on your site but i have to admit the whole police check thing puts me off.  not because i have a criminal record just because I cant see this kind of service being a way to make good money, i thought of it more as a way to earn a bit extra and that would make me reluctant to go through the hassle of a police check.  Guys will probably feel different though.

good luck

Hi Clive!

I think it is a good idea in principle, although I would drop the male escorts bit altogether - it does nothing but harm the credibility of your site (and you need a proofreader, but that's just details).

I do suggest that you alter the bit about escorts being in 'constant danger', it's a little over the top (the only danger I am currently in is from the ham in this sandwich, as I can't remember when I bought it). It is part of a responsible escort's job to ensure that she carries out proper security procedures and as a result is in relatively little danger; to suggest that we don't know how to do this is a touch condescending. I don't consider myself to be any more at risk than a taxi driver, for example - and in some ways considerably less!

Good luck with it anyway - let us know how you get on!

Hello Clive

I agree with Amy and Lexie - the idea is good in principle but the male escort comment, I feel, detracts from what you are apparentlly marketing - security in the form of a driver.

Also, have to agree on what Amy picked up on that we are "in constant danger".  I have been escorting now since Feb 2007 and not had cause to use a driver.  If, however, I ever felt that I was going into a situation which I was not comfortable with then perhaps I would make use of your service, but saying that - if I felt that unsure then I just would not go.

I am sure there is a market for your services and I wish you the best with this venture.

Regards

I agree with them both.  Im only new to escorting but part of the reason im happy being and indie is becasue I realised how safe i could make myself.  I think it is a common assumption though, its how it comes across in the media etc.

If i was going to use a driver it wouldnt really be for security as much as it would be convienience if i had to go far or knew i would be having a few drinks during a longer booking.

I don't know if I'm right about this but don't you have to be a registered taxi driver before you can drive people on a professional basis?

No I dont think you do need to be as I am not prviding a taxi, all it is doing is providing transport ofr anyone who needs it and the price is settled between the driver and client. Its a bit like asking a mate if they would run you somewhere and you paying them for doing it, if that is the case then shouldnt they be registered as a taxi? only a thought......

I appologise about the wording and yes i agree with you, as soon as i get time I will reword it to sound better. thanx for the input on it anyway

I just thought that the CRB would make it easier for people, but after some research i agree with you that i will drop it...

As for the male escort side of things, I very much doubt that will take off, I put it in there on the off chance as you never know.. I have updated the main page now and am in the process of editing other bits of the site...

I like the crb check to be honest. Taxi drivers are checked (well,in london at least), and I feel much safer in a black cab than even a private hire because of this.

Yeah, I think it's worth having. If you want it both ways it could be an optional extra.

Hi All ,

Its been very hard for me to find a good reliable driver around my way so its a good idea . Just to put my "two  pennorth " in , i would feel happier and safer if i knew your drivers had been through the CRB check . A lot of guys advertise in certain places as drivers but really they want "favours " instead of just been payed to do a job !!  To be honest this kind of hassle i can be doing without after a long day when your tired !
I think the CRB would deter those types and you would get people who are more professional in their behaviour !! Just my opinion ! I would feel better if they had been checked , good luck with it !!
