You can set yourself up as an indie pretty easily if you do out-calls only or can do in-calls from hotels or your home (if safe/feasible). If you look on the 'Where to advertise' thread you'll see the main directories in the UK, AdultWork being the dominant player.

You won’t necessarily earn more in a brothel.  Maybe a sauna would be a better option.

You may already know brothels aren't legal here nor massage parlours or saunas that provide sexual services, a lot different to New Zealand.
I don't think a 'safe' brothel exists here, they seem as prone to incidents as indies.

Check out massage parlours/sauna websites with cute/suggestive photos of the massuses, they will generally provide adult services. Search for ads that suggest there's a choice of lady or have a rota.

I can only speak for what I see in central London. For the past seven years council licensed massage parlours have been increasingly granted to Chinese or Thai 'medical herb shops' with same race staff and charge modest fees and tips for adult services. If you are non-oriental you can rent a room on a weekly basis from some of them as an indie, my friend did that successfully for years.

I believe many of the non-oriental, council licensed saunas have been in decline for brothel keeping, money laundering, tax evasion etc.
I agree with Lady, you can't presume you'll earn more in a working flat / brothel but as a stop-gap while you settle in it may be worth trying.
