We didn't manage to make it happen but it's probably for the best.
I was a little worried about all my beautiful things in the apartment, the law aspect -is it then a brothel? and of course the neighbours .

Yes, it's a brothel. One of best reasons not to put yourself in a position where you could be had up for brothel keeping is the possession of beautiful things, since they can all now be taken off you (along with the flat and pretty much everything else).
