2009 edition of TaxRelief Diary is now available
« on: 18 January 2009, 10:55:27 pm »
With the new tax year starting in April I've now completed the 2009 edition of the TaxRelief Diary, which as far as I know is the only book-keeping system specifically designed for escorts. It's available to order now, and the details are on the TaxRelief4escorts website.

Having consulted people who've used the previous edition (which is still available if you want one) I've left the format the same. So it's still coil bound and A5 in size.

If anyone has any ideas about improving the diary and making it even more useful, I'd love to hear from you.

I am just about to order one, I looked at them when I first came across saafe and thought what a brilliant thing to have. I am pretty organised anyway, but it looks like it makes the job of keeping track so much easier.

Just to let you know that I am retiring and will no longer be taking on new tax clients.

However I'm certainly not abandoning the TaxRelief Diary or the taxrelief4escorts web site. One of the reasons I'm giving up direct tax work is that I want to concentrate on writing. So the Diary will be going on, and the website will be updated in the coming months.

If anyone's interested I've just started a blog www.tax4saintsandsinners.co.uk

And there might be a book in the next 12 months .......

I have a question about the diary...

I would like to purchase the book, however I read its an 'easy to use' book keeping system. I was thinking of purchasing microsoft office while its on sale, however I only need Excel. Im thinking if I use the diary, I can just keep track that way. Will that be sufficient?

Also...will this book be something I can relate to here in the U.S., or are the dynamics a bit different? For example, here in the U.S. we don't have to 'register' with the IRS, we just fill out forms and mail them with our income.

I bought the Tax Relief Diary 2009/10 and ended up paying ?26.94 for it which I think is an absolute joke. The Diary itself cost about ?15.00 and the postage was not garaunteed unless ?11.94 postage was paid. I assumed as this was coming from US it wasn't so bad but when the Diary turned up, it had been posted from less than 30 miles away. Not good value for money at all.

Joey you'd be fine with a Page a Day Diary for Cash Business's. There are plenty of Cash Business diaries around from ?3.49. Just google a stationary supplier in the US or go to a stationary shop and have a look. That's what I'll do in future.
I also use Excel but a diary is good for making noted of appointments whilst on the move. I'm not sure about it relating to US, but I personally feel that it was a waste of money.

Using free Business Forums for advice is also much more helpful than the Tax Relief Diary in my humble opinion.

Thanks for sharing the honest truth! I can go to the Office Depot here and pick one up.
