Warning Timewaster in Glasgow
« on: 25 January 2011, 10:21:47 pm »
Just home from a wasted trip, down time and expenses.

So this Waster goes by the name of Tony, he sounds about in his twenties/early thirties, confident on the phone, talks quite fast. He uses 2 numbers one withheld which he says is his work phone but offers before being asked to provide his own mobile.

Tonights events. Tony phoned this afternoon looking for an outcall this evening to his home address.

As I'm getting ready to leave i text to make sure appointments still on, no reply.

After a second text also gets no reply I phone and the number is engaged.

20 minutes later he calls apologising he was on the phone, fair enough.

so i make the taxi and 2 train rides to the address he gives me.

He phoned once to check i was still on my way

he phones again offers to meet me at train station which i always decline, he gives me clear directions to his house which is about 5/10 minutes walk from station.

Arrive at a dark house, no answer too doorbell

I ring his number several times and let it ring for a long time, no answer, no response to text confirming door number.

Eventually it just said not possible to connect (guessing he just turned his phone off)

I text my partner who then phones and stays on the phone as i head back to station, the station itself is basic so Instead of waiting there i grab a taxi.

Funnily enough Ive not heard from tony at at all.

Yes I am furious, what he got out if it I'll never no  >:(

Other things too note he asked about PVC leather (checked several time i had brought PVC skirt as promised and asked me to wear a short skirt), and asked about watersports even though i don't offer that.

I have the address and mobile number if any ladies in the area want it just pm me  :(

It's really rubbish when this happens, but do you know about the location checks that most of us do to avoid these situations? It doesn't sound like you did any in this case, and if you're going somewhere alone and relying on someone knowing where you are, it's important for your security as well as your sanity that you know your client is at the address he's given you.

What checks? You mean things like landline number? I guess i could start asking for that for home addresses but when I personally dont even own a home phone i guess its one i dont think of. I know what signs I look for in timewasters and though there were a few unsettling moments all the other boxes were ticked. Its only the second time its happend and luckily in terms of my safety i do have a partner looking out for me too.

Oddly only minutes before hes initial call another timewaster called and i knew he was a timewaster even though he dragged it out giving his address, when i text 5 minutes later to cancel i wasnt suprised.

this guy had plenty of time to cancel so yes I am suspicious of his intentions thats why my partner insisted on staying on the phone until i was safely in a taxi and why im posting here.   :-\

I would guess that this guy's intentions were to hide in a nearby house, watching and possibly filming you. It doesn't seem to be uncommon weirdo behaviour, unfortunately, judging from the many warnings here.

I'd imagine that's why Anika asked you about home visit checks - weirdos and oddballs and timewasters are getting more creative and so it's more important than ever to be very careful when going to strange territory.

Asking you to wear an outfit to the outcall is a big sign that he's just wanting to watch you wander up and down the street while he hides nearby. You can tell them you'll wear casual clothes while you're in public and that you'll change in his bathroom; there's no reason for a genuine, respectful client to argue with this.

Also, the best way to avoid these is to not offer home visits to first-time clients (I will only see them in central hotels or my incall location) but I know that different escorts get different ratios of incall/outcall requests, or just prefer outcalls, etc, so that may not be much help. But like Anika, I'm just trying to make sure this never happens again, so please don't feel like anyone's criticising you! :) (She always posts quite succintly, btw!)

(And actually, re-reading the bit about him wanting to pick you up from the station, it does sound rather like he planned to abduct you, didn't it? Eurgh. :( I'm glad you have your partner helping you - could you arrange for him to drive you? Or even just pretend that he'll be driving you; telling potential outcall clients that your security will drop you off and pick you up might be an extra are-you-a-freak-test for them to pass.)

Yeah, but your partner wasn't there. If you scream and the line goes dead, all he can do is go to or send the police to the address you've given him. If you've been abducted by someone who doesn't really have any connection to that address then you're in a seriously bad position.

Some genuine callers will fail the address check, but I think it's a reasonable tradeoff. I offer them the option of paying a deposit if they don't have a landline (because I have a driver so it's not a security issue for me). You could ask for a little extra money and get your partner to drive you if that's an option.

(I was ok about considering being picked up, partly the "I'm a man, I can handle it" rubbish, but also the way I could pointedly text the registration plate to someone, and that they'd appear on CCTV with me when asked to come to the station itself instead of being allowed to hang around in the car park. I'd also have had a deposit off them by this point. But, yes, not recommended and forget about it for somewhere that close to the station.)

My partner driving is not an option we dont have a car or he would be.

This is only the second time this has happened most timewasterI catch out on the phone. When I reflect back to the first time it happened (it was actually somone setting up the family that where in when i arriverd  ::)) They were very similar actually, in both cases they made above the norm comminication to make sure i was on my way. The catch 22 is most genuine guys are equally as helpfull, alot offer to meet from station if walkable etc

I think I just have to just be positive that I do work every day, been doing it a year now and it is only the second time and most I catch out on the phone so I must be doing something right. I think from now I will start asking for them too call from a landline etc Its certainly something proactive I can do differently anyway. (and also hope plenty girls read this and dont end up doing the same)

on the rare occassions that i do outcalls ( and its very very rare)   i  ask them to take a photograph with there mobile phone  of a bill in the address that i am visiting on  and send it to me as proof that they are  who they say they are and they are  at the address  i find it easire than trying to get deposits ect  so i ask for either a
 phone bill /mobile phone bill
council tax bill
or there driving licence ect

they cant really offer an excuse cos everyone has some sort of bill in there home from bank statements to council tax to water rates bills and mobile phone bills  and virtually every phone now has a camera so its never a problem and it cuts out the timewasters who arent at the address waiting to watch you appear ect

if they cant do this then i dont visit and any excuses that they cant send a bill  is anwsered with ffs you want me to visit you anyway so i will have the address anyway so whats the problem ( ok maybe not exactly like that but you get the general idea)

the land line check can be harder now as not so many people have land lines mainly mobiles if they are genuine then they wont have a problem  if they dont want me to know there real name im happy for them to blank out the name as long as the bill is recent within 3 months and is official
i still have a driver and security but i have found that by asking for this its a lot easier to get a good id check

If they have broadband in their house shouldn't they have a landline?
Maybe the odd virgin customer, but they aren't a majority of broadband users, everyone else requires a landline.

But I like the idea of emailing a photo of a bill.
