Not sure if this is the right place to post but had a strange phone call from someone called Simon. He claims to have met me before ?a while ago? but he was calling from his work phone so I wouldn?t have that number.
He said that he wanted to see me much later on and can I guarantee that I would be free to see him.
I told him to call me half hour before to confirm but he says he can?t as this is his work phone and he is already risking a lot by using it to call me, just tell him my postcode and room number and he will ?definitely? be there at 5. (alarm bells start to ring) I said that?s strange, why can?t yiu use your normal phone then? He said that he left it at home. I said ok, why don?t yiu give me your normal number then so that I can check my phone records. He said he can?t remember his number.
So I say no I can?t do that is too risky, I don?t know you from Adam, he keeps insisting that I?ve met him before.
I said I didn?t recognise his voice and asked him to describe himself. Said he is smart and would have been wearing a suit. Now I know I haven?t met him before.

Just thought it was strange that he was so insistent for my exact location, and kept stressing that he wouldn?t be able to call me again before then or use his work phone anymore.
He said as a compromise,give me your address, I will pop in so you can see me and you?ll know exactly who I am then, and then I?ll come back at 5!
By telling him my local landmark at the beginning of the convo he had guessed where I was staying and said he was only 5 minutes from me!
Anyway I became firmer and said that I wouldn?t be able to see him today.
My friend came to see me not long after and told me he?d seen a man outside in a suit pacing and on his phone, which was weird because I kept having missed calls from him after.
Probably not related but still!
Number is 079187899**  he was polite and well spoken. Just odd though.
Just thought I?d post in case anyone else had this experience.
