Man pretending to be from the NHS Leicester
« on: 10 May 2016, 09:55:05 am »
Now this is a very strange one. I was contacted by a man calling himself Cain, he left a voicemail on my work phone using my working name saying the nhs were offering free sti screenings today and that he could come to my place of work and would take a blood sample and swabs. He claims to work for St Peter's clinic (genuine gum clinic in Leicester). Uses number 075809733** I have posted as a warning as despite a few red flags some may fall for this and let a complete stranger with some ill intentions come to their home and do God knows what. The fact that this man has needles, medical equipment etc is very worrying, and is using the name of a legitimate clinic too. Please pm if you need me to clarify or full number.

Have you contacted the GUM clinic about this?

Yes and as expected they have never heard of this man and would never have a member of staff trawling sex sites and doing home visits. I also told him that I have used that clinic in the past and I know they would never do anything this unprofessional, he since hasn't replied. Hopefully this is enough to put him off however someone could still fall for this. X
