OMG - I have been a victim. However I only gave him £100 deposit through bank but I did send my passport. Now I’m really worried. He also done the exact same to me !! I even met him in person he seems legit. He said to me his mum is coming back from Columbia and she needs to stay. Can he do anything with my details???

Where does he advertise his room?
You should report his ad to the web administrators.

His number was sent in an escort group chat. The girl who sent it did not use his flat though so I doubt she knew he was a scammer!! He sent videos on WhatsApp and I went to view it. Wow he is very good at scamming he seemed so genuine and nice. He will tell you everything you want to hear. His name is Carlos E****** or Carl. Whether this is his real name god knows. He is around 5”9, dark complexion, short hair and says he is from Columbia. Around early 30s. If you like the flat he will ask for deposit I bank transferred £150 to him and Carlos E****** was the name he gave. He will ask for a copy of your passport as he needs his solicitor to write up a contract.  He will say the flat will be ready in a week and then make an excuse a day before. With me he extended it another week and made up another excuse. I don’t know why he keeps this going... it’s really sad. He’s blocked me.

He will send you an address which is apparently his. But after looking back I think it is not the exact address. When you arrive at station he is already waiting there for you which I found a bit weird.  So what I think he does is give you the neighbours address and then bring you to the exact address which is next door. If that makes sense? As he doesn’t want to give it away. I think this is because the flat he rents is actually his flat where he lives. I saw pics of him and his girlfriend in there and also a cat. So someone is definitely living there. I also spoke to him back in May. So he definitely does this for a living. He had the same number back then so he hasn’t been caught yet. Any smart person would not be using the same number to scam girls.
