Amy is referring to other comments under your post (which have since been deleted - by other posters). The only reason my comment is still there is because i asked a valid question.
You arent in the wrong, Kayci. Its everybody else that comments in the 'Warning' section without an actual warning to give. Such as this reply...
Thanks Kiko, yes, that is exactly what I meant. Kayci's warning post is entirely appropriate and not in the wrong at all - the comments I was referring to were off topic, reactive and contained no useful information regarding either the warning or the man posted about in it. This sort of thing is exactly what this post:
In addition to the above, can members please remember that the purpose of the Warnings section is to alert others to potentially dangerous people or situations, and as such it needs to be concise, relevant and informative so that anyone who needs to can find this information easily.
It's great that we all have each other's support, and of course everybody sympathises with those who have had an unpleasant experience but messages which do not add to a thread or contain any useful information need to be sent via the PM system, not posted on the Warnings board. These posts can also needlessly bump older threads to the top of the page, making current/more recent incidents less likely to be quickly spotted.
Please consider what, if anything, your post adds to the thread before sending it. Any information which may help somebody avoid a situation where they may be robbed, abused or harmed is good , however patchy you may think it is! Anything other than information, please send a PM instead.
is referring to, and I'm quoting it now so that everybody who has studiously ignored the 'Rules for Posting Warnings' thread can get a good look at it.
I'm confused by the rules. Do they mean that we can't comment on a warning?
I was just surprised that a potential client would claim that 900 was excessive for the London area. I'd say that's fairly normal for 10 hours, with 600 being the absolute base minimum.
Yes and no. You can comment on any thread, warning or otherwise on the board you want and that's fine. Just
don't do it in this section. That's what the B&B boards are for.
I will tidy up this thread later - if anybody has any more questions, please PM me.
