On calling to say he was at my hotel, he asked if I was alone.  When I challenged him about why he asked, he just waffled then claimed he couldn't see the entrance to the hotel and then hung up.  That was the end of him (and, as I had told him my room number, I was greatly relieved).

He had sounded somewhat over-enthusiastic (perhaps due to being under the influence) when he called to book, making me somewhat wary of him in the first place.
