This may be a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a try anyhow.

I have had this guy trying to contact me several times today. The first time he called, it was from a blocked number, so I did not answer it, as I never answer blocked numbers. He left a vm though. But in the vm he sounded very strange - almost like he was reading from a script or something. Like very monotone, no emotion, straight forward, etc. He told me he is a pilot from the US and will be in London from tomorrow til Friday. He ended the msg by saying he was calling me from skype. But the whole time it just sounded soooo fake and like I said, like he was reading from a script. It was very strange.

I have never personally used skype to call internationally, so I am not sure if it is normal for it to show up as a blocked number?

Anyways, I got several calls over and over from a blocked number so I assumed it was him again, but still did not answer, as, to be honest, I was weirded out by the message. He called me yet again around 9pm tonight and left another vm. Again, the same monotone script reading voice.

This time he did leave me a number, but it is his US number.

So I guess I just wanted to see if anyone else had heard from or seen this same guy? I can pm you his number so you can see if you know it, as I am not sure if I am allowed to openly post it. Thanks ladies.

Skype does not usually display a blocked number.

Apologies for obviously offending you. I have not shared the number with anyone - I merely thought I would ask around and see if anyone else had heard from this person.

In my hometown this is something that would be done frequently on the boards between the providers - we were more of a community of sisters looking out for another - I guess it was wrong for me to persume it was the same on this board.

You'll have to do better than that to offend me, I'm afraid. And please get off your high horse - how on earth is anybody supposed to know whether this man has contacted them if you can't or won't provide any useful information to help them in doing so?

We get weird texts/messages/phone calls all the time and without anything concrete to identify the source, how can anybody possibly know if they have had communication from the same person? This is a Warnings section which is SOLELY for alerting others to potential danger and wrongdoing - if you need suggestions for how to screen clients, post a thread in Questions and Answers, and keep your snide, petulant remarks to yourself, please. If you don't like the reality checks here, there are other boards.
