XXX domains
« on: 17 August 2011, 07:33:06 pm »
Was just wondering if people are buying/considering buying the .XXX version of their domains?  I have had an email about it from 123.reg, but they say prices 'start from ?69.99' - i.e. a bit more expensive than it costs to register a .com or a .co.uk domain.

I think are more aimed at larger sites like porn sites, online adult stores etc.

I really don't think they're worth it to us.

Does make me a little mad though. I have another business and am stocking up domain names when good ones come available. All these extra endings just seem like a good way to rip money off people. You think you've done well to get the .com and the .co.uk until they bring out .co and .uk and a million others! Really annoys me tbh  >:(

As above. Personally I don't feel the cost is worth it as I'm just a one woman operation and feel the .xxx are a bit more aimed at more large scale sites.

They are really taking the biscuit with domains these days!

As someone who has recently purchased a .co.uk and .com, I agree!

Yep, .xxx is pointless in this context. An agency might consider it, but for individual escorts, anything other than .co.uk or .com is only for people with more money than they know what to do with.
