This is something I have been thinking of too, and it's one where I think there's a twofold solution, maybe a tutorial, but it's a bit tricky really. This is business, and like any business it comes down a lot on the initial contact, marketing and sales technique. It depends who you want to market to and where, what words best convey your message, how you write, if you go too dirty or too sweet or too classy you risk losing the immediate interest of some demographics. With ads or profiles in directories, there are only a few seconds to make that first impression, and it's in a way worse because you're not there to make that impression yourself, just this little ditty you've created to represent you.
Writing a sweet and sexy profile on AW would definitely stand out against the aforementioned girl of your dreamz, but if that is the predominant ad type for a site then it's possible that is what the guys on it want and it's gradually tailoring toward a particular type of person. Whereas a site with an emphasis on classy companions, elegance, style and discretion all with stunning photos, the girl of your dreamz with the picture of her blowing a guy isn't going to do so well, because the demographic has changed. I don't mean that that is set in stone you'll probably get some builders who adore taking out a classy lady and some millionaires who want the dirtiest ad they can find!
It seems odd in a way but business books are having a great influence on how I look at this. Especially ones focusing predominantly on traits and habits like positive thinking and the development of self esteem and confidence as related to your industry, but also things which just influence a good biz head-
