Hi Anika, I think it's a great idea your wordpress style site for ladies.
I have an html/wordpress version of my flash site which is incorporated on my blog page, it's picked up really well by Google and gets a lot of hits and I enjoy adding pages, pics etc, some guys think that it is my main site!

I don't think Moonfruit is limited to the UK - I'm sure there was a lady from Canada on here a while back (Star?) who had built herself a free site. You would need to be really careful about listing fees/services and so on though - I would give it a try. I have to confess I paid for someone else to do mine because I'm hopeless :D but having seen more and more of the free sites, some of them look great and would definitely give you the edge if most of your competition just have small profiles on directories. If you have your own domain already sorted, that's even better. I get the vast majority of my bookings through my site and don't find the directories to be much use at all (although people do click through to the site from the likes of Adultwork, so I could be selling them a bit short).

If nothing else you can fit far more information on a proper, comprehensive site, which saves the endless daft questions about what you look like, your services, where you are and so on (although even that's better than the halcyon days of the one-line newspaper ad lol).
