Hi everyone
Has anybody worked over in Australia escorting or in the massage parlours?
I'm going out there this summer and just wondered what the money, conditions, the scene, basically whats its like out there?
Thanks, Joanne

Its bloody brilliant. i havent been for over 10 years and i didnt work in a parlour but brothels are legal (in sydney and melbourne at least, not sure about other states) and if you google australian brothels you will find some amazing places. more like 5star hotels than anything else.
I did work in a cafe in kings cross, sydney for a couple of weeks that wouldnt let any crockery or cutlery be sent over to a brothel across the road because they said weird stuff had come back to them before. i think they meant condoms on the plates and there were rumours of some strange goings on with cutlery but im sure that was all gossip hehe.
My first night in sydney was funny. proper street hookers in kings cross with the fur coat no knickers kinda look going on. i suppose its possible over there as they dont get too cold :D
Its pretty much seen as a ligit business and its an amazing place for not being judgemental about people so go for it and best of luck to you.

Hey Joanna, sorry I took so long to reply. Getting used to working night shift again. :-[
Anyway, first things first. VICTORIA IS THE BEST STATE FOR A BROTHEL GIRL EVER!
Compared to New South Wales...because...
-CONDOMS AND LUBE SACHETS ARE ON THE HOUSE! I used to have to buy lube and frangers for $10 dollars each, in-house, or purchase it outside.
-Current legislation in VIC on health for sex workers means you have to be checked out every month. Vaginal swabs every months, bloods every three.
A girl may not work without a current D.C. The results are not released to the house though.
When I worked in Sydney, I worked at a couple of brothels that let me start without a DC, when I was young and naive. I suggest asking places before you have one on you if you can start working. Sift the wheat from the chaff. :)
I consider the conditions of my brothel to be pretty good. Although my new work place has cracks in some places because of the bloody drought, marks (bleach) on the drop sheets, etc. The general going rate is 60:40, lady's favour
This is my work. http://www.scarletlady.com.au/
I get $70 for half an hour, $90 for 45 minutes, and $110 for an hour.
The least I have ever made in an evening was $250, on a Monday night when I was the ONLY girl on. You'd think the odds would be in my favour, but men like to compare, and make their lordly choice from a platter served up to them, as it were.
I know I said don't discuss money in brothels, but Ill say on here what its like for me.
I set myself a goal minimum of $300 per shift, which is 9pm-5am, Mon-Thurs. I usually pull in at least $1200 p/w. Goal setting is important.
Anyway, that's pretty much the standard pricing. Other places will charge more but you're not guaranteed as many clients.
I asked my oh so hot receptionist the other night (I would leave my boyfriend for her if she'd have me!) the other night about certain legalities, (just for you!) You can come over here and work, but it has to be with a licensed agency. You can come work in a brothel, but I don't know if you can do it independently, as you have to be registered, and I'm not certain if travellers are eligible to do that. Ill look into this more...
Anywho, hope Ive been of assistance so far...

I know it's old hat now, but it's good to know that you think Victoria is one of the better states to work in a brothel. but for my future reference, and like people like me who stumbled upon this subject only recently, there is the slap dash community http://melbourne-brothels.com.au/ which has general information and articles about brothels in Melbourne and the rest of Australia. Feel free to post comments there, or look up info. The site is a bit shabby, but helpful information is helpful information none the less.
I wouldnt mind knowing more information about the conditions of work in Australia if people want to continue this conversation again.

Hi,
does anybody knows how it's for independent work incalls or an escort agency in Australia, Sydney?
thanks!
-
I recently had a client from Australian and he told me some interesting things about working in Australia, namely
- legality varies depending on state
- average rates are generally a fair amount higher than in London
- some of the agencies are owned by fairly nefarious types who don't like independents because they are competition, so try and screw them over. If you're touring you're less of a threat though
- forums are quite widely used. One that was mentioned was 'punter planet'
-
Dont you need papers to work over there? If not, I am on the next plane!!!
-
some of the states, it's legal and regulated like any other work
some of the states, brothel incalls are legal and regulated, but outcalls are technically illegal so you'd need a work permit to do brothel work

How does one go about getting a work permit to work in an Australian brothel? Can't anyone work there without papers like lots of girls do here?
