Hmmm, I've always wondered about this, but how do you get any of the types of sponge back out? I have petite handsand fingers so can't reach high up in there. Back in my civvy days a condom magically disappeared and had to get him to fish it out as I couldn't reach it! Lol.

Interesting to know that our cervix's hang differently, lol, explains why my tampons never end up straight, the end up what feels like horizontal! Haha.

The moon cup sounds interesting, might give that a Google!

Cheers girls! ;D xox

I read most of this thread and it seems a few girls have had trouble getting them out lol, but you just fish about and
hopefully manage to grab hold of a bit and pull it out..  ;)
I ended up not working the last couple of days, my period was just too heavy and I didn't feel like working and wasn't
too confident about the sponge!
Just got told by someone I've been slagged on some punter forum (I'd rather not have known), read that, and feel even
more self-conscious..
So I'll have another day off and try the sponge tomorrow, hopefully should be ok by then  ???

Couldn't work while I have mine and the thought of it freaks me out. I'm on now and turning them away when I can't really afford to with Xmas though I do have mirena and it only lasts about 3 days wish it would go away completely though the way it did with my last mirena :(

I'm the same Molly, I'd never do this work when I'm on. I only just came on yesterday, I suppose its a good week to have it though! ready for the Christmas and New Year time.

My period lasts a full 7 days, and I didn't work the first 4 days of it.. I was planning to, but I just couldn't, didn't
feel well, felt very much not sexy, and was paranoid the sponge wouldn't work.
Did a few bookings at the end of the week, with the sponge but if I didn't need the money so bad I wouldn't have!
Back to business as usual now, but it was hard getting back to work for some reason!!

Hi ladies, what shops in London can I get a sponge from please? Don't want to buy it online as I need it urgently.

Thanks

On a Sunday? That could be tricky.

To tide you over, you could have a look at cosmetic sponges in Boots.

Both of the Harmony sex shops sell them, and I think at least one Boots does - if you use the Search box or read back through this thread it's come up a few times :).

Am I the only one who's period seems to go on forever?? That's been a full week, and it was pretty light, but I'm on
my 8th day and I'm still not back to my "normal colour"..
It's driving me nuts!  :FF
PS in times of need I buy Ramen baby-sponges from boots, they're only about ?2 and they work ok if your period's
not heavy..

Isn't this (and the opposite of lots of light bleeds) a common side-effect of any progestogen-only pill?
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

I'm not sure but I have tried other mini-pills and this is the only one that stopped them entirely rather than leaving me with irregular periods. I haven't bleed in several years now.

Help I have unexpectedly came on and I have a booking this afternoon, thankfully it's only light (fingers crossed it stays that way), the problem is that I haven't had a period in 3 years due to the implant so have not needed to have sponges or anything on standby.

I live in a village so there are no shops that do the sea sponges, do I just wait till I get to where the booking is and pop into a Boots and put it in in a public toilet or the hotel bathroom, or do I just go for the strawberry flavoured condoms (which won't work if the client is above or below average.
