I think I am going to order some sponges online tonight, I have no idea when my flipping period is due, it isn't regular and never has been, even when I was on fertility meds, so I can't plan for it.  I'll see if the clinic will let me have any, I can call tomorrow and find out but the next clinic in my area isn't til Wednesday (problem with living in the sticks).

Its probably best to use beppys... an its very normal that you cant get them out at first, its super awkward. I just wait for a while, jump a bit up and down and then it will lower itself naturally... Still weird to get them out, just be patient.
I always order mine online. You can get big packs for much cheaper... Very handy to have for that one booking you didn't expect to have your period.

Morning,

I use Ramer Baby sponges, the round ones.  They do not break off and are easy to use and cut into the shape you need.  If your sponge moves too far up the best way to get it out is to sit on a toilet have a wee, your muscles will relax and the sponge will drop to a point where you can hook it out.

My period started yesterday, a few hours after my meet finished, so I am trying my Beppys today. No more meets til Monday so hopefully I will have got the hang of them by then, or my flow will have reduced a lot.  I am doing hotel incalls Monday and Tuesday, do you change sponge between clients or not bother?

The good thing is with a sponge that between meets i tend to take it out and wash it, rinse it out (i know it sounds gross) but no more than two appointments before changing i tend to get irritated down there if longer.

I'm sorry but that really does sound gross. Why not change it after each client? I mean its not like you rinse a condom and use it again...
I think you shouldn't be cheap here, they are paying for a clean service and if you want them to come back to you, maybe consider investing in more bebbys...

There are some sponges that are reusable, I think they're called sea pearls sponges, also mooncups are reusable, you just rinse those out and pop them back in. It's only menstrual blood after all.

Help!! Sorry for reviving this thread, but I've just started my period  :FF, and I've got a few bookings this week
that I really don't want to cancel!!
So I'll go down to Boots/Superdrug 1st thing tomorrow and get some Ramer baby sponges, but I've got a question,
my cervix is really low and to the left, how do I get the sponge to cover it and stay in place and the client not to notice??
I mean with my cervix being so low, and to the left, will the sponge not just go up beside it somewhere  ???
Lol, sorry, I'm confused...
Please help, I've been through this whole thread but didn't come across this particular problem..

I'd try a mooncup if I were you Siorse. They're cup shaped so it should fit around your cervix and not budge too much. All my friends who use one say they're great and they're never going back to tampons haha

I'm sure the sponge will be fine - no woman's vagina is that cavernous that a sponge wouldn't cover the cervix, even if it's not dead straight!

I'll let report how I get on..
Although I'd rather have a day off, really don't feel like working!  :(
